The location was amazing and the lodge was more than hig enough. Everything you needed was there including a brand new decking.
There was no light in the ensuite bathroom so going toilet in the dark was interesting, but there was another bathroom so it wasn't a major problem. The host did explain he was installing a new shower etc so this was probably why.

Comfy beds, lots of wardrobe space. Reasonably well equipped kitchen.
Good location beside the loch excellent for anyone wanting to swim or paddle board and very good pub meals next to lodge site. First time staying in log cabin.
It was unbearable during the evenings due to heatwave on the 2 nights we stayed. Owner did offer a fan but I didn’t think that would make much difference- a mobile air conditioning unit might be better. Husband developed a severe heat rash.
Couldn’t seem to get the ovens to cool down very quickly after evening use just to cook pizza . Fans still whirling in the morning. In the end switched off at main socket and left oven door open. Long distance from a shop and access is via a narrow country lane so definitely need to shop before arriving as very busy road with passing places . Would be useful if owner could blackout the 2 triangular windows at roof level front of lodge as contributed to heat inside and impossible to see what you’re doing in kitchen due to being blinded by sun during evening- sorry if this review sounds negative but i’m sure in less hot weather it would provide a family with a very nice stay. Also not used to midges early am and evenings
