It’s truly enormous and the spacious feel is prominent throughout this 2000sq ft. accommodation which comprises of entrance hallway, very large lounge/living room, spacious kitchen with open plan dining area, downstairs toilet and shower room.

The lower hallway is linked by an impressive hardwood staircase to the upper floor where there are two extremely large en-suite king size bedrooms (one of which has an additional double sofa bed). There is an additional bedroom with shower/toilet off the hallway.

This is an amazing place to stay. The Coachhouse is enormous as are its rooms and common areas. It's tucked away on an old estate and it was a little difficult to tell if we were in the right place. We had to confirm where to go and get some help from Liz on how to get in. But once we were there, it was an incredibly beautiful place to stay. There are so many great things we could say about it. The only downside was the Internet connection was pretty sketchy. In addition it being a beautiful place, the thing we liked best was that it was convenient to everything in the Loch Lomond/Trossachs area (unreal beauty), but also it was quick to get to Glasgow and the Glasgow Airport. In essence, this was an ideal location. We can't wait to stay here again.

This was our first stop on a 9-day Scotland road trip and was the perfect way for us to kick off our adventure. The people and home were top notch and the location was excellent for enjoying Loch Lomond. I can't recommend this place enough!

The first problem is that the Coach House isn't on the Loch. In fact you can't even see the Loch from any window. It's a good 10 minute walk through the grounds, requiring sturdy shoes and functioning knees. The website describes the location incorrectly. Having said that its a good enough location to explore the region, but there are many better (as we discovered because our friends and family were staying in them). It probably was luxury when it was first converted some years ago, but the fact that the visitors book ends with 2013 entries and hasn't been updated since tells you all you need to know really. It's tired, it needs some tlc and it hasn't had any for at least 5 years. It isn't luxury; it isn't even close. The bedrooms and ensuites are between 3 and 4 star standard. The lounge and kitchen look good at first but there are lots of things which don't support the initial impression. Its comfortable enough ( although the bed in the largest bedroom needs renewing) but is adequate rather than stunning. Several features are annoying, like no access to the courtyard or to a garden; a dishwasher that doesn't fit its cupboard and so is very difficult to load and unload; a TV system from the early 2000's (haven't seen one that deep for a while), a wifi system which falls over if more than two people are on it; fires which don't work; an AGA you're not allowed to use; a BBQ which was unuseable etc etc It's also very dark - not much natural light and the electric lighting is inadequate. The question on customer service is interesting - everyone was very helpful on booking and very friendly etc. We stayed a week and saw no one. No contact of any kind. No one called to ask if we were OK, needed anything, give us any information, answer any questions etc. The welcome pack was good - pretty much everything else was bang average.
