Our stay at Stoneymollan in Loch Lomond was absolutely top notch and authentically Scottish. The location is breathtaking, with stunning views of Loch Lomond and direct access to a beautiful Muir Nature Trail. What truly set this experience apart were the hosts — among the very best we’ve ever encountered. They went above and beyond to make our stay special: prepping the wood-fired sauna and hot tub before our arrival, providing rain gear and wellies so we could explore comfortably, and even sharing a dram (or two) with us on our last night. It’s rare to find a place that combines comfort, scenery, and genuine hospitality so perfectly. We can’t say enough good things about this wonderful spot — a true gem in Loch Lomond. We can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful hosts, clean and comfortable accommodation, recommend the hot-tub!

We stayed for one night for my friends 40th birthday. We hiked Ben Lomond in the day and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay after a long walk! From the moment we arrived, it was a wonderful experience. Gillian and Brian greeted us with a warm smile and a homemade smoothie! The accommodation was perfect, cosy and clean environment. We had the cabin with the hot tub and didn’t regret it! We cooked pasta, drank red wine, sat by the fire and ended the night in the hot tub. We were brought lovely warm croissants with butter and jam in the morning and were kindly offered a late check-out! I couldn’t recommend this accommodation more and I am sure we will be back soon. Thank you to Gillian and Brian for such a memorable stay and final night on our Scotland adventure. We will always remember it! Amy & Claire

Absolutely breathtaking!

I stayed for 2 night with my partner and we loved every single moment of our stay. The cabins have everything you could possibly need and anything you may have forgotten, the hosts are more than happy to help with. The cabins are spacious and situated in the most beautiful scenery. Myself and my partner could not recommend this place enough, the hosts were two of the most attentive and friendly people we have ever met, we enjoyed getting to know them and hearing about their plans for the future of the cabins! We absolutely intend on coming back for many most visits! The views, walks, and set up of the place was more than we could have ever hoped for and they are some of the many reasons we are already planning our next stay. Not only have we found our next favourite place to unwind, but also made friends for life. Highly recommended!

Quiet and relaxing stay

Everything about the property was perfect. The location is quiet and peaceful. The bed was comfortable. The view was stunning. And the sauna was lovely. A pro tip, there is a hike of 20-30 minutes up the mountain nearby. This is the best view of Loch Lomond.

Location, accommodation etc was 5 star+ but the family who greeted us as we arrived and hugged us when we left made an overnight break into an experience hard to put into words. Can’t wait to go back with family and friends to share the feeling we left with.

Absolutely amazing !!

Everything - the stay was unreal such a fabulous experience. Brian and Gillian are kind, helpful and friendly they made our experience better than expected. I love the animals around the property particularly their lovely dog Bunny who made the stay even more enjoyable. The cabin is so cosy and the highlight is having a private sauna that you can heat up whenever you feel like it. I was sad to leave and wish we stayed a bit longer and for that reason will definelty be back. It’s close to shops, nice land for walks and excursions. I would recommend this place to stay to everyone it’s great for the soul and so relaxing! Thank you once again Brian, Gillian and Bunny 🧡

Wonderful cozy getaway

Lovely experience at the Stoneymollan. The owners were sweet and accommodating. They would check in on us to make sure our experience went well. It felt like a very homely experience. I was taken aback by how gorgeous the view was. It felt like a magical moment away from city life. The sauna was amazing and very convenient since it was private and right next to the cabin. The bed was soft and comfy. We were provided robes and a little welcome snacks. The place itself was small but maximised to feel spacious. The interior decoration was well done. Also great location and had trails nearby we trekked. We overall had a great experience.

Very homely, friendly and secure weekender

An excellently furnished accommodation, with fire pit lit outside the door. The hosts, who live in the house in front of the two pods, were very friendly and welcoming and really keen to make sure that we had everything we needed. Hot tub / Sauna were available external to the pods, although we didn't use them.

Its hard not to like this place as it is exactly what it says on the tin. The only thing we can think of that could possibly concern others is that you are basically in the owner's back garden (albeit a big back garden). I'd be surprised if that was a problem to be honest.

It was Absolute Perfection from Start to Finish, The Property itself is Beautiful, Spacious for being a Cabin and above all Peaceful. It is the most Tranquil Place and the Management are Outstanding. From before we Arrived they were Accommodating and Understanding which I cannot explain how greatly appreciated it was, They are absolutely lovely and took the time to explain about the Stunning Surrounding areas & History, We spent time chatting to them and they ensured we had everything we needed and More!! The Hot Tub & Fire Pit make the Stay Perfect I would Highly Recommend☺️

Great stay at Stoneymollen !!

We strongly recommend Stoneymollen if you wish staying around Loch Lomond. The house is located in a very quiet area within 5 minutes driving from Balloch city. The accomodation is very original and is well equiped and clean. The view upon Balloch, especially at night, is great. Gillian and Brian are caring persons and they gave us some good tips to visit the magnificient region of Loch Lomond. Not to mention the whisky tasting evening that was very much appreciated and enjoyed by everyone despite the rain...ahah !!

Gem on the edge of Loch Lomond.

The hosts Gillian and Brian were really helpful. They gave us milk, offered lifts into Balloch, and were very helpful with walking guide into Balloch. The pod was very clean and was kitted with good quality equipment, towels and bedding. The other plus was meeting Bonny, the dog. She is a lovely dog, who likes to meet the guests!

The fact that we were only staying one night. If you are out late at night, be sure to have a torch, as it is a long dark path back to the site. Cannot think of anything else.

For a family quickly touring the UK for 10 days, this "glamping" experience served as a marvelous introduction to Scotland outside its cities and towns.
