No 15 Lomond Castle

Stunning views! The view of Loch Lomond from the upstairs bedrooms was second to none. Lots of rabbits on the lawn and beautiful gardens. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. We had 2 children with us and we all had our own space. Our 15yo was thrilled to find there was a PS3 in their room! Seating space in the living room was plentiful and comfortable. Internet connection was good. We had brought our own Firestick so were able to use it to stream movies (recommend this as TVs not Smart TVs). Host Liz was very responsive and helped us find the property and let us know beforehand of an issue with one of the toilets. There's a little path down to a small beach on the Lochside which has a little jetty. We saw that another guest had brought their kayak - perfect for family water fun.

Some of the blinds were broken/not functioning - not a biggie because the curtains were nice and thick. All the internal doors are heavy fire doors which would swing closed all the time. Some had wedges but others didn't so we used chairs or cushions to keep them open and prevent our little one from hurting herself. Other properties we stayed at this year had a coffee maker/pod machine, this just had a selection of instant sachets - for a premium stay we had expected a little better. There's a lack of on-site facilities. We didn't bring a car so we had hoped for a little cafe or grocery store within walking distance but had to rely on taxis to town and nearby Duck Bay hotel (15 min walk, very busy/pricy) to find a good coffee, groceries and family activities.

Property located in a beautiful spot overlooking the Loch. Property had everything you could want for a family holiday.

Problem with main bathroom toilet cistern making noises and constantly trying to fill up. Unsure if this was a problem or because at the end of building. Did not spoil stay but needs to be looked at.

Lovely accommodation on the shores of loch Lomond. Little pier available to access, we swam every morning!

The instructions to get to the property were really comprehensive and the host was responsive and helpful although she was feeling unwell. The location is fabulous, immediately next to the loch and quiet. The two upstairs bedrooms are spacious and have lovely views. Lots of parking on site

Unfortunately during our visit the WiFi connection was very poor, the TV(s) did not work properly as they required a good WiFi connection. There was no additional information provided, apart from a comprehensive fire guide. The kitchen wasn't particularly well equipped, the minimum required was provided and not of good quality, I did expect a bit more given the price. The washing machine had black mould around the seal.
