Rooftop San Marco

We absolutely loved our stay here! The home was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Having two bathrooms was a huge bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the location was excellent—perfect for exploring Venice. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting Venice and would happily stay again ourselves.

The only downside was that the main entrance door was quite difficult to unlock. One evening, it took us about 20 minutes to get in, and several passersby even stopped to help, but no one could get the lock to open easily. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Die Wohnung hat eine herrliche Dachterrasse mit Schirm. Es hat eine tolle Lage, ruhig und zentral gelegen, die Ausstattung ist sehr großzügig und komfortabel. Die Eigentümerin ist sehr nett, unkompliziert und reagiert sofort auf Wünsche/Fragen.

So sorry Nadio but the air conditioning didn't work propery,it needs maintenance,the controls are stiff and difficult to set,as you know the water boiler isn't right,having to run the water/shower for almost 10 minutes to get hot and then it gets too hot.The furniture in the main room is unsuitable for a holiday let with most space taken by a huge old dining table and chairs (who wants to eat in in Venice?)The TV is tiny and only Italian channels,fantastic fibre internet nearly 1 gig d/l do you could load apps to work off this to suit all nationalities.The whole place especially the rooftop terrace need a thorough clean and there should be instructions on using the washing machine,dishwasher and recycling process. The stairs to the rooftop rerrace need another wall rail as they are so steep,some plants etc on top would make it nice,it just looks shabby and unkempt.

Not clean at all, with issues visibly accumulated over time: dirty air vents, shower does not drain and leaks out creating full flood in one of the bathrooms, stained and dirty carpets, yellow stains on the bedding, smelly towels, dirty kitchen, including crumbs and dried egg left by some previous guests, dirty dishes, laundry left in the washing machine, moulds on the shower cabin mosaic walls, half-black dishes sponge, dusty sofa/bed tops, brown residue on the kettle opening, ….. Upon re-reading the reviews after completing our stay, we were surprised to discover that these same issues are recurring and mentioned repeatedly by the reviewers (also by those who rated their stay as 10), which means the host does not take the hygiene problem, and the health hazards it creates, seriously. Cleanliness is a basic requirement, right and expectation of any guest. The place should not be rented out in this state. Finally, not enough lighting is provided, which makes both bedrooms and the living room area quite dark.
