Good location

Our stay at WoodSpring wasn’t great. When we checked in, there was no staff at the front desk — we had to use a self-service kiosk, which was confusing and impersonal. The bathroom didn’t even have a shower curtain or rings, so we had to go out and buy our own, which should definitely be a standard item in any hotel room. The beds only had two very flat pillows each and thin blankets, so it wasn’t very comfortable. There were no extra amenities or little touches that make a stay feel welcoming. Overall, it felt very bare-bones for the price.

Check-in was tedious and unnecessary long You need to have a front desk person. No iron in the room is just weird. Shower blond hair on the curtain, I have black locs.

Not having a 24 hour person at the desk after hours was semi challenging since the checkin I had to video conference with someone from India. Someone smoking pot in their car in first row of cars by door is a good look for the hotel. Since you've nobody at the desk there's nobody to stop them. It doesn't make me want to come back. Not a good look for the kids/families coming here.

Location

The water pressure was horrible. Didn’t feel clean. The elevator had a weird smell and needed to be clean. The parking lot had trash everywhere. The front staff wasn’t there. We had virtually check in. The doors to lobby were dirty. The beds were uncomfortable.

The property was very clean and the staff were nice upon check in.

The front desk closes at 4 on the weekends and they state to use the kiosk to get help if needed. Waited multiple times on the kiosk and it would time out so I was unable to get any help off that.

Modern and updated

Very few amenities, 2 towels, 2 wash rags and that was it.

Absolutely nothing

For starters when we came in the shutters was closed at the front desk where h check in at. About 10 minutes go past another group walks in and they tell us that the lady that ran out told them to check in on kiosk, then about 5 minutes of us not knowing what we were doing the girl runs back in and tell us Nevermind, yall I don’t have to go get my kids no more so I can check you guys in. And then she proceeds to open up the shutters and there’s a guy sitting there at the desk high off who knows what. Then they both started checking us in…. We get to the room it was a smell in it and the floors were slippery like it was grease poured on it. We overlooked that! Then we noticed that their was only 1 towel and one wash cloth it the room. The room slept (4) we asked for more linen they told us they were out due to Chris brown having a concert in the city. The tub had no shower curtain, the toilet was not clean. In the drawer was old socks a pair of boxers and a worn t shirt! The tissue holder had old dried up tissue stuck on it. Oh and the police was in there at 2 am harassing one of the guest. Whom in which had pee’d herself. The worked walked past and said the police needed to hurry up doing what they was doing because he had a fat a$$ blunt rolled up. I asked him did he live there he said yes I live here and I work here.

No incidental fee

There was no towels in room & limited supply once asked. No extra pillows, no iron, ironing board or hangers in room. Also no Kleenex in bathroom. Or no cooking ware or paper towels in kitchenette

My Airbnb cancelled on me last minute and this was the closest place that was still affordable. The Weekend and Movement Music festival was going on at the same time so most places were booked or overprices. This place saved my trip because it wasn't too far from Detroit and wasn't super expensive. The place isn't luxurious but it was clean which is the most import thing. Very close to Ford Museums. Highly suggest Greenfield Village only 5 minutes away! They have a 24/7 video help desk which was helpful. I was able to get an extra key in the middle of the night.

It was very minimum. Did not include soap and shampoo like most hotels. It has a place to cook but nothing to cook with or plates to eat from. No coffee maker either. The pillows and comforter were super thin. I decided to buy another pillow since the ones provided were so flat. The elevator stopped working for one of the days but was fixed the next day.

The stay was terrible. There was dried up blood on some of the furniture. The AC wasn’t working it was hot in the room and we needed extra pillows and sheets and towels and there is no one on site for us to get towels and also they charged me to make a call to the front desk on my bill.

Made the booking and didn’t even have my booking on file, but also the front desk wasn’t available when I first got in the computer system talking to the lady she couldn’t understand me and want up having to book the room under somebody else’s name just the whole process was overwhelming and it just took too long but also The description of how the facilities where were nothing like we expected there was no cooking utensils. There was no coffee there was nothing.

That the description doesn’t match what was given, and also there was nothing there to accommodate this day. I had to bring everything in myself as far as cooking as far as soap as far as there was nothing provided.

THE ROOM WAS DISGUSTING IT WAS SCUFF MARKS ON THE WALLS, SOMETHING WAS ALL OVER ALL OF THE COUNTERS THE BED WAS POORLY DRESSED, THE SHOWER AND TUB WAS FILTHY, THERE WAS ONLY ONE FACE TOWEL AND NO HAND TOWELS, I FELT LIKE I WAS SLEEPING IN A NASTY MOTEL. I WOULD NEVER RETURN TO THIS PROPERTY OR SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE ELSE. THERE WAS A PERSON BARRICADED IN A ROOM AND THERE WAS POLICE EVERYWHERE I DID NOT FEEL SAFE AND WE WERE MAKING CALLS TO THE FRONT DESK WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED BEFORE THE POLICE CAME AND NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONES OR WAS AVAILABLE. ONCE THE POLICE CAME ALL OF THE STAFF SUDDENLY APPEARED. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE AND NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO.

I never got my room

Convenient location, room equipment (fridge, sink, microwave, stove and TV) were fine. More than enough parking spaces.

Room's floor was dirty, felt sticky. Towels in bathroom were not clean. Did not felt great to not find any staff during Sunday afternoon, had to complete check in through a kiosk video call. Had bad luck since I witnessed an armed police intervention at some other room next to mine. Strong weed odor coming out of some occupied rooms. Feels like a shelter home instead of a "hotel".

The location

No staff when needed, key cards work when they want. It’s loud from others first thing in the morning. I stayed two nights never got any good sleep from neighbors, people banging on the back door due to key cards not working. I will never be back. I thought it was a good hotel due to the location I was wrong

The location was ideal for me. Ms Erica was refreshing and helpful.

1. Upon check-in the room wasn’t cleaned from the previous guest. 2. The second room assigned was occupied 3. Our room was checked out mid-visit (we were stranded in a lobby with our stuff)and money and iPhone chargers came up missing. 4. Floors were filthy and needed to be mopped. Significant enough to not want children to walk on the floors.

The room was clean and parking was easy. I was traveling with a friend for a one night trip for a concert. For what we needed (a place to sleep and shower) this worked great. If we were staying for any more than one night, we would have had some concerns.

The check-in process closed with staff to assist early in the evening (I believe around 5 or 6) and then there was a kiosk machine to use. I was thankful we arrived in time to work with the staff as our first keycards didn't work to unlock any doors around the property. There was no breakfast (which we knew with the booking) and when we asked for shampoo and conditioner, they were out. We also had to ask the front desk to use an iron (not provided in the room) which had plastic melted to the bottom. No utensils provided at all in the kitchen area.

Terrible broken machine to check in the staff that we let was nice I don’t remember their names we had to change rooms 3 times the hotel was dirty the bathrooms had hair all over the walls not enough towels iron didn’t work was leaking. Customer service never called me back for Booking. Com or wood springs I would like a refund please and thank you I had to go out and purchase things that should have been in our room I have video and pictures of the dirtiness. Disgraceful and very disappointing. Again the staff was pleasant but pleasant doesn’t out way the accommodations

I checked in at 11am and was given a dirty room which I then went back to the front desk for a room change . The second room was dirty as well , worse than the first . I went back down and was moved to a third room, this room was even worse than the first two . There was feces on the toilet seat and inside the toilet bowl, there was something splattered all over the walls ,the floor was sticky all over , but worse of all there were bedbugs in the beds .

No utensils provided for kitchen. Also there were people trying to enter the property without access. They where fully drunk and it’s little unsafe out of the property.

I paid for 11 nights but the only activated the room key for 3 nights at a time. By the time I get off work, no one to help me. The kiosk would not work 2 of the 3 times. Twice it took 45 - 1 hour. After being at work 13,5 hours, I spent an hour in the lobby calling for help. Plus, 11 days with no service in the room and no way to get fresh towels was awful. I leave at 6 am and get back just before 8 pm. Definitely not set up to have a pleasant stay. I'm coming back in a month but I will spend the extra money and get a place that my key works. Plus the halls reek of pot.
