The owners were amazing, so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend, the location was perfect too!
Lovely cosy little cabin with everything that you needed. The log burner was amazing to have on on the cold nights.
Only small thing was the garden wasn’t enclosed so couldn’t let our dog out without a lead. Not a deal breaker though

It Wasn’t the weekend break away that we were expecting. It wasn’t relaxing nor the cleanest of environments

It wasn’t the cleanest needs a deep clean.couch smelt of dog and the throw couch had never been cleaned ie cushions removed and hoovered as loads of crumbs ect.back of the curtains are filthy and looks mouldy also. Could be doing with other pots & new oven trays including pizza ones . Used hand cream in the wardrobe floor with fluff and dirt on it . Was picked up and cleaned and put on the chest of drawers . Fire exit sign in one of the bedside cabinet. A warmer quilt is needed as the one on the bed is very thin. Extra pillows that are not feather filled would be helpful as I have allergies to them , had to use my own out our campervan that we used to travel to the cabin instead of our car.
Cooker hood was thick with grease and dirt & bulb needs replacing , broken kitchen utensils, no instructions for cooker, no proper drainer for dishes next to the sink , drainer ( flimsy plastic) in cupboard is useless , no oven gloves , no safety gloves for the log burner was just a micro fibre cloth my husband buried his fingers . Shower is a safety issue pressure is poor goes Luke warm to cold then to extremely hot which burnt my husband . A toilet roll holder would be helpful also and a bathroom blind for better privacy. And there was Only one set of towels for one person was supplied should have been 2 for each person .washing machine had either dirty items or laundered items in it on arrival. Freezer needs fully de frosted and old used items discarded same with the open used items in the kitchen cupboard. Cabin was freezing on arrival . No logs were there for a fire , there was kindle wood but not a great amount in the bottom of 2 plastic bags outside lots of plastic bags ( empty) even in the field where the horses are we did remove them as much as we could without climbing over 1 bag of kindling in the basket but no actual logs to heat the cabin . Price list on the wall for logs is overpriced as you can get bags of logs from b&m for £5.

Cosy couch and stargazing by the fireplace.
The cabin was exceptionally clean and cosy. We felt right at home. Attention to details in the decor was astonishing. It's easy to see that someone put a lot of effort and love into this place. The fireplace was an amazing addition and views from the big window were breathtaking during the day and at night.

The garden was not enclosed for the dog & the road outside, had cars passing fast.

A lovely place to stay
The layout, open views and tranquility. Immediate access to woodland walks. Very nice decor and immaculate.
A salad bowl would have been handy. The decking and outside space was not securely enclosed. As the road is close and fast it was too much of a risk with our dog to leave the patio doors open. A section of fencing at the rear end of the side driveway who have alleviated the need to keep our dog on his lead when sitting on the terrace.

Perfect pre NC500 stop
Lovely views, idea for dog stay so close to forest with easy walking. Good run routes with trails and no mud. Well equipped and comfortable stay.
The drivers along the road were pretty fast but luckily we had been warned by the hosts about this so could be prepared and keep ourselves safe.

To stop dog escaping the back - perhaps consider installing on where washing line runs. The back patio door does not lock probably just needs fixing but did not affect our lovely stay

Decent sized cabin in a good location
Location is great and the view was lovely. Nice place to stay. Had a slight issue on check in and got a reply straight away. Woodlands across the road which was good for walking the dog.
Main downside was the back area was not secure for a dog, would have been better with a small fence/gate. The road outside wasnt an issue but the cars going past do so at speed so have to be careful pulling out in the car, a mirror to see what is coming up/down the road would be handy.

Cosy weekend getaway!
Great view and facilities. Really nicely decorated. Log burner was great. Made it feel really cosy. No issues finding it or gaining access.
Tap was abit stiff in the bathroom but nothing major, due to the long nights in the summer, a blackout blind would have been nice in the bedroom. My Mrs is a light sleeper and can wake up with the early morning light.

Shower was poor also needed more towels could do with a fresh lick of paint and they need to upgrade the kitchen utensils no scissors and 1 wine glass. Had to do a late check in due to last guess which wasn’t ideal.

Lovely cabin close to town!
We loved this cabin! Check in was very easy (key box) and so was the contact with the owner before and during our stay. Ever question was answered immediately and there was a booklet provided inside the cabin with helpful information. The cabin was clean, comfortable and well equipped. There is a parking spot directly infront of the cabin and it’s close to town (10 min drive). The view from the deck at night is great! As many people mention the busy street and that it’s hard to get out: we never had a problem with that. There is no warm water at the sink in the bathroom but the shower is great with lots of warm water. The bed was really good and i loved the smell of the bed sheets and towels so much!!! We definitely can recommend this place and hope that we can come back one day.

Lovely view back over the city from the decking, in such a peaceful setting. We slept so well and the shower was great!
Ali & Kaya were ever so helpful and very prompt with answering questions. They even arranged a Taxi for us to the City. Taxi just over a tenner each way so great for going out for a wee drink! We had a wonderful experience in the short time we were there and would love to return.
Having to leave after one night!! Would have happily stayed there for a week, and will stay again if returning to Inverness.
Also would have loved to have gone on the woodland walks behind the cabin.

We felt it was poor value for money spent.
The curtains in the living room were very nice.
It felt as though the owners had lost interest in this project. The shower room smells mouldy and while there is an extractor fan, there is no openable window and hence remains damp with black mould around edges of shower cubicle. Locking the back door was difficult. The outdoor space at the rear is lacklustre with weeds and plastic flowers. The ‘view’ is basically hidden by neighbours tall trees.

Lovely location, beautiful view
It was a very comfortable place, with a lovely view. We loved watching the sheep and horses walking by our door. It was so lovely to have the wood burning fireplace and the provided wood.

Tricky to eat a meal with no table other than folding occasional table. Some lap trays, or better still a larger table or second bar stool (folding if needbe) to allow 2 to yse the countertop would have been handy. A patio table would also be a good addition for the summer. Hot water was a bit hit and miss - didn’t seem to last long couldn’t see how to adjust it.

There were pet hair on the bedding which was a unexpected, especially looking at attention to detail for all other facilities which were all very good.

Quiet location. Woods across the road.
We liked that this was a sort of stand alone cabin, we could get in with a code and had no hassles there. For the whole it was a quiet out of town property.
The front door was a little tricky to work, and in the rain made it a little more frustrating. The actual postcode address was to a property higher on the hill.
At night a sensor light kept going off onto and into the whole unit and our bed room and it wasn't even controlled from our property.
There was no hot water in the bathroom sink.
The views are lost now by another properties hedge.
The one thing that really was not cool is that when I woke in the morning, opened the curtains there was a bloke leaning on the fence looking straight in.
On the pics on Booking.com it shows a grassed area with a BBQ. This is actually fenced off and assumably is the next door rental.
Lastly the actual "cabin" is close to the road, not what I invisaged by its name, "Woodside cabin".

Adorable Cabin for Two!
The cabin was situated in the perfect location, high on a hill on the outskirts of the city, with the most amazing views. Great for dogs with forest walks on the doorstep and to top it all the honestly box cake ’woodside bakes’ cabin next door. The cabin was lovely and the wood burning stove kept us cosy in the evenings. Highly recommend.

In a lovely setting with great views and woodland walks. It was clean, warm and comfortable with mainly good facilities.
Just annoying, small things :- such as no fence at end of decking to prevent dog wandering onto the road, no draining board for washed pots, nowhere for 2 people to sit together whilst eating, no hot water at bathroom washbasin, recycling bins need labelling to indicate what they should contain, nowhere to dispose of dog poo (no outside bin)

Warm, comfortable and clean.
It was very clean, easy to heat the rooms and the bed was comfortable. I would have had a mattress protector on as it looked like a new mattress, but wont stay clean for long.
The facilities were superb as every thing was there that you needed. Nice little property. Met the host who was very helpful and very nice. Nothing was too much trouble. Yes there is a road outside which is used infrequently, it was not noisy at all. It wouldn't stop me staying again. If I was up that way again it was a great stop over to use. Many thanks to the hosts.
I was only there for one night, however if I was staying longer I had a dog and there was no secure area to the right of the house. But my dog is manageable. On the plus side there is a wooded walk nearly directly opposite which was a bonus.
