Great location. Lovely room, good size but toasty warm. Lovely staff. Spotless. Very good wifi and shower. Delicious free cookies eveey day :) Tea, coffee etc. Great bed with lots of extra pillows. 100% recommend, will stay again

Fab value stay in Torquay

The free cakes and fresh milk was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and everything was comfortable and clearly labelled. Really close to town centre, just a few mins stroll

Comfy, calm and very clean!

Clean, easy and friendly check in and lovely room. Perfect for a solo traveller. Very easy entry too with key fob. All brilliant. Warm room (in winter!) but fan and heater both in room if you required. Quiet and calm area.

Kingsholm has very thoughtful and kind hosts.

Chris was very helpful at my arrival and departure. They had available in the main entrance: fresh milk in a fridge, very nice biscuits, cake and fruit, this was all much appreciated. I stayed in room 5 which was a good size with a large bed. A couple of minutes down the road from Kingsholm is a very good Thai restaurant called Junjaow. Kingsholm is close enough to the city centre to walk there in a few minutes but far enough for it to be quiet.

Be careful of room 6 which is extremely small with a tiny bed.

A serendipity trove, tranquility in the coming winter.

My stay was an absolute delight. Teija and Chris are extremely attentive and hospitable, clearly by nature and not for marketing reasons. The room was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything a guest could need. An experience I will repeat soon.

A lovely stay in a lovely house, with lovely hosts set in a great location.

I am a mature single lady traveller, instantly I felt really comfortable and safe here.. The owners were really helpful prior to me arriving, good communication and let me know of local activities, transport etc., just really friendly and really helpful re parking. The house & room was really clean and comfortable., and I liked the trust of an honesty table for snacks and drinks, also the option of taking real milk to your room is a bonus, (I really do not like longlife milk)

The perfect hosts, kind and professional, going above and beyond to ensure comfort and satisfaction. The location is wonderful, close to everything but also in a quiet location in this city, which can be noisy in spots. The cookies and milk at a lovely and thoughtful touch! My particular room was small but clean and comfortable, offering the amenities expected, and a notably very comfortable bed. I will definitely stay again every time I visit Torquay!

A choice of breakfasts: £10 extra for the full English, £5 extra for 'continental'. Fridge in the room. Water and cans and free real milk in fridge downstairs, also free cake and biscuits. Host and service excellent.

It was very clean we had a lovely warm welcome also very quiet area which meant we had a nice sleep but close enough to access the centre we we re also offered a late check out due to our train not being until 2 which was a lovely suggestion by the lovely lady owner would definitely stay again thanks so much

Clean, comfortable, good value

Large, clean and nicely furnished bedroom and bathroom with view to the park opposite. Plenty of storage and thoughtful touches such as in-room fan. Breakfast, if required, could be ordered the night before and was excellent with cooked or continental options. Homemade yoghurt with jam recommended. Owners very pleasant without being intrusive.

Brilliant friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. Great selection of teas and appreciated having the choice of hot chocolate in the room as well as tea and coffee. Breakfast made with quality products from local butchers.

Room was quite small, it was a bit of a struggle with the proximity of the bed to the bathroom door.

Friendly helpful staff, cake and biscuits nice touch. Was upgraded to a very nice room with beautiful view and large bay windows. Plenty of toiletries. Nice to have a fan and mini fridge in the room.

Super comfy bed just a stroll from the harbour!

Great location just a short stroll down to the harbour. There is a co-op just at the bottom of the road as well which is handy! Bed was super comfortable and the room was bright and airy and also quiet. I had a view of the park and it was lovely. Chris was very polite and helped me out with parking. I didn’t have breakfast - it did smell good though!!

Amazing stay at a 5 star guest house

Had a lovely 2 night stay, location was amazing, hosts were attentive and couldn't do enough for us would highly recommend it, and I will stay there again. Breakfast was one of the best I have eaten. Room was comfortable and amazingly clean. Hosts were chatty and attentive. There was nothing not to like.

Great stay - clean large room and friendly hosts

The property is extremely clean and the room we were given spacious. The bed and lines were clean and comfortable, while the bathroom had everything needed and more. There are water, tea and coffe given in the room, while downstairs there is free cake to enjoy. The owners are friendly and warm, very kind and helpful. We were able to park at the back of the property free of charge, however, there is plenty of parking on the main road too.

Not a problem for us, however, there are a lot of steps. If you are willing to take a couple of extra steps, this place is really worth it!

Only the roads in Central Torquay are a bit hard to find. This guest house is very near the harbour clock tower and was fine once I knew the way.
