Hibiscus House

Location for Burford was great. Spacious property, relatively well maintained. It suited us for our short stay. Nice furnishings in the lounge and bedrooms.

Just a few little pointers that could be sorted quickly. Parking quite restrictive not sure you would park two cars unless they were small and one parked on back garden. You would need to use the street but parking busy right up to the gates, tight entrance for larger cars. Would have like bath sheets, towels a tad too small and we’re not big people. Limited crockery, could do with a few more supplies and options eg salad/pasta bowls non existent. 1 mug. Bin in bathroom or bedrooms would be good. Could do with a shower caddy to put your things in and shower in en-suite drains away slowly, needs looking at. The gardens let the ambience down, it was lovely weather but no outside coverage eg sun umbrella and not lovingly maintained.

The location was nice in a quiet cul-de-sac, also near a country park and play area for children. The house also attempted to be modern with its decor and furnishings. There was tin foil, d/w tabs, salt & pepper in the kitchen which was helpful.

There were cigarette butts all over the grass upon arrival and this was dangerous for our dogs. There was also rubbish and recycling flying around (empty chicken packets etc). Master bedroom door handle broke on day 1 not long after arrival and we were unable to get into the room to retrieve belongings. Door handle was finally removed but wasn’t fixed during stay. Toilet door downstairs also very stiff. Advert says 2 cars can fit on driveway, this would only be the case if 2 hatchbacks vs estates. We had a focus and an Audi saloon and didn’t fit. The lounge area was nice however not really enough comfortable seating for 6 people (and the house sleeps up to 8!!) headboards on beds not very comfortable and bang against wall just by resting on it.
