We are a family of two adults and 2 small children and we all had a wonderful stay at Bridge Hill Cottage. Check in and Check out were really easy, and communication was perfect. The cottage itself is beautiful inside and out and we could park right on the street outside. Everything was spotless. There is a really well thought out kitchen which with loads of space if you were feeding a crowd and plenty of cooking equipment. We loved the two cosy living areas so the kids could play or watch TV in one room whilst we relaxed and read or planned our day trips in the other. The cottage sleeps up to 10 and i can imagine there is plenty of space. For our family of four it was great. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless with excellent showers. The kids loved the garden. Plenty of room to play and it has a great barbecue which we used several times over our stay. There's a great butcher in the town and the village shop is really well stocked with most things you could need. Hook Norton the perfect spot for exploring the Cotswolds. The village itself is beautiful and we had several days where we didn't need to travel. There is a playground which our children loved as well as the brewery which has great food, and the kids got to meet some Shire horses. There's also a put right behind the cottage which was lovely and friendly (you can even try a game of "Aunt Sally" in the garden. There is another pub near the brewery. All in walking distance from the cottage. There are plenty of day trips within a half hour drive - Chipping Norton, Bourton on the Water, Daylesford and Diddlysquat farms. Ali had provided some amazingly detailed guides of the local area including pubs restaurants and walks which we found useful. We really cannot fault our stay at Bridge Hill Cottage and would love to return again.
We couldn't get our kids to leave the pub garden next to cottage as they were too involved in a game of "Aunt Sally" and picking pears from the pear tree with some other children they made friends with! Luckily it was so close, it didn't matter! :-)
