The Perfect Place to visit Ypres and the surrounding area.

What a fantastic place to stay! We loved the property. There are not many pictures on Booking so I'll describe it. You go through the main door and straight ahead are stairs (be careful on those they are quite steep and can be slippy in socks - especially after a few beers!). To the left is a big cupboard then you walk round to the left and you can see the whole downstairs - it's a long building! on the left as you walk to the kitchen is a downstairs toilet and utility room. The kitchen is well stocked, lovely and modern (took me ages to find the spoons - you have to open the drawer with the pasta dishes and there is another drawer in there). Then there is a small outside space (I suspect to bring in some light) and the dining table (very long!) and lounge with a little terrace beyond that. Upstairs are two big double bedrooms, each with their own shower and then up another set of stairs is the master bedroom with ensuite toilet/shower. You can park a little way down the road and it only takes 5-10 minutes to walk to the GroteMarket. Perfect! Heating was great and there was plenty of hot water. We will be back.

Lock on the downstairs toilet - we had to fashion a sign out of the cardboard from a salad to let people know if someone was in there.

Great position to explore the area. Close to everything. Lots of things for us on arrival, milk, coffee, tea. Shops are very close by. The hosts were fantastic and kept in touch and were very accommodating.

The only thing for me, having a physical disability, it said ensuite rooms, which they were, but they had a shower and sink, not toilet. The only one with a toilet was at the very top of the house. Which was too many stairs for me. So I had to go downstairs (which are fairly steep and quite narrow treads) in the night if I needed the toilet. But we loved the property.

Stylish but also very comfortable and well equipped house in a great location just a short walk away from the main square, Cloth Hall and Menin Gate in Ypres.

Breakfast was N/A. The property however was excellent; the owner could not have done more to ensure we had a fantastic stay. We would recommend this property to anybody visiting Ypres.
