Ok, but won’t be back
The location was central on the High St.
Hot water on timer and water freezing cold. Managed to get hold of someone at 10.00pm to sort it out. when we wanted to shower. Only a small tank and when the water was used had to wait for it to get hot again to be able to use it. Lots of cobwebs about. Bins in alley were overflowing and recycling area was absolutely disgusting. Smells and we saw a rat there. Only enough seating in lounge for three people and not four, so one of us had to sit on a kitchen chair. Very steep stairs leading to bedrooms and really not suitable for someone with mobility issues. The photographs on the website are very deceiving and make the place look huge. However in reality, the place is quite small. Kitchen not very well equipped and lounge area very small. Another thing that did concern us was the fact that the only exit to the building was through the kitchen door. God forbid, if there was a fire in the kitchen, there was no other means of exit from the building. Overall, we enjoyed in Shrewsbury, but we would not book this place again. The entrance to the building is very scruffy with full bins, cigarette ends all over the floor and a lot of bird poo everywhere. Also, items left in freezer and freezer tray and fridge trays damaged, so our advice is to take photos when you arrive. Finally, when you book on booking.com it does mention a security deposit if £350, which we didn’t really mind as we didn’t expect to need it. However, what they don’t tell you until you’ve made full non refundable payment is that they offer two options for the deposit. 1: you can pay a waiver fee of £24 or 2: if you decide not to pay this waiver fee, then the £350 deposit is subject to a 2% admin fee. So another £7 on top of the cost of the booking. No other options.

Ideal town house ( rather than cottage)
Very clean & comfortable & as per description - super central. Nicely decorated. Ideal for our stay (3 family members aged 60+) out exploring every day/evening. Only used coffee machine & dishwasher.
Nothing we didn't like - a few niggles - make of coffee machine before hand would be useful; a doormat when entering the premises; instruction manuals. Plus a bit more attention to detail - remove purchase labels from wash basin & pedestal. Response by telephone bit hit or miss. Check in on-line with photo ID a bit problematic. Table & chairs outside would have been nice - like the neighbour. Stairs a bit steep- an alternative hand rail would be safer.

Shrewsbury lovely, but underwhelmed by property given the price and the list of demands.
Clean and well presented
Very expensive, nothing special about the property. Expect the high price reflects the town centre location. What really irked was a list of demands about how we should leave the property e.g no dirty dishes, empty all the bins and take out the rubbish. It felt like the company wanted our money and take on some of their responsibilities. Although we would have done the dishes any way! Their details make it clear that there are stairs but they are pretty treacherous. The lounge area tiny, not much room for 3.

Superb
Perfect location, good last minute parking opportunity, very high standard of decor in the cottage and all very comfortable.
No sockets for toothbrush or shaver. No hooks for coats and no doormat. Toilet seats all in very bad state of repair. Ground floor loo door out of plumb and would not shut; hinges need tightening.
