Nice accommodation in a great location but disappointing upfront fees and glitchy verification

- Location, very central and easy walk to the station, lots of good places to eat/drink nearby, close to the main shopping area - Nice house with good furnishing and well equipped for our length of stay - Good shower with decent water pressure - Warm and cosy, easy to use heating

- the compulsory verification process. It didn't work after many attempts (even though it said it had) and I had to do it manually before I was allowed the lock box code - having to pay a non-refundable £7 fee for the £350 damage deposit to be taken from my account or paying a non-refundable £25 fee for damage waiver to avoid paying the damage deposit up front

The apartment is nice enough but the people running it and the housekeeping team clearly don’t care.

The location is great

There’s a keybox and three separate doors each with different tricky locks to gain entry to the property and the instructions we were given were completely wrong (referencing keys/dials that didn’t even exist). This meant it took us about half an hour to get in and made us late for our meal. Once inside the property we were met with some loo rolls partially unraveled half way down the stairs and most of the curtains were falling off and only attached by a couple of the hooks which made them impossible to close. The icing on the cake was I accidentally left something there and straight away messaged to ask if I could pay for them to post it to me, this request was apparently passed on to housekeeping but I haven’t heard anything from them since.

Disappointing.

Location was excellent.

The outside area of the property was absolutely filthy. Covered in dirt and cigarette ends. Obviously hadn’t been swept or mopped for months. Downstairs toilet was dirty. Very limited supplies - only a small amount of tea, coffee and milk sachets. All other places I have stayed have left biscuits, snacks, even a bottle of wine as a welcome gift.

It was in a perfect location. And the staff were great we had problems with the WiFi and they fixed it straight away

The main rooms double bed was 2 single mattress which was fine they just moved a little through the night

3 locked doors to get in. Some difficult to unlock. Need footrests by sofa for comfort. Soap dish in shower needed. But the above are minor niggles. It was great overall.

Exceptional

Really well placed, quiet and very comfortable apartment. Very convenient car park at the bottom of the hill. Ideally located for everything in the town.well equipped kitchen, should you want to cook, we didn't due to the fab choice of restaurants and pubs.

Slightly hiccup on the late checkout, which sadly was not communicated to the very friendly housekeeping team.

The apartment was really comfortable. There was a really homelike feeling when staying there. Comfortable beds and the facilities were well cleaned.

The heating unfortunately wasn't working for the first day, but the hosts kindly came and helped us fix it.
