Splendor above and the below the sea

Sitting atop a promontory above the sea, the views were worth the price of admission but when you throw in the service, good hotel food and two distinctively different ocean accesses it was a unique experience. I especially liked the staircase leading down the hillside to the sea on the hotel's backside facing the southern sweep of Corfu's scintillating Western coastline. There are patios carved into the rocks with sunbeds/umbrellas and a rickety metal ladder into the Mediterranean offering some good snorkeling displaying some fish but surreal insight into the geologic underwater sculpture that time and tide has carved.

The town itself is nothing to speak of as it's culturally a zero attracting too many day trippers who the town caters to with a tacky aquarium etc.

Really enjoyable stay in a lovely place.

Great location, lovely modern hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic, a really good choice of hot and cold food. The evening buffet was also excellent. We went at a very quiet time of year but the choices were still great. The staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Nice pool area, the pool isn’t heated but it was still warm enough to swim at the end of October. The pretty beach is very close, down a couple of flights of stairs.

After dinner there wasn’t really anywhere quiet to sit, due to the open plan layout. I guess earlier in the year you would go outside but it was too dark when we were there.

Akrotiri Beach Resort Hotel - it has everything you need on holiday!

Wife and me on Holofau om Corfu in Oct"25 'FANTASTIC' location, staff and guests very friendly. Food half board excellent. Well presented! Main choice different every night. Plenty of staff available at all times. Reception staff always present behind desk and always willing to assist guests. I had a query about bed sizes in our bedroom prior to arrival; hotel replied within 24hrs and had sorted my request immediately. Access to beautiful beach was very easy with plenty of sun beds available as well as beach bars and other facilities. The hotel's bar staff were very pleasant and made you feel welcome. Car parking was secure and 'free'. Front door staff 'on-hand' to park your car for you if required. Would most certainly return!!

We were pleased with everything!! Only thing we didn't like was not the hotel's fault - 'mother nature' not being able to provide sun from 2 different directions at the same time. Our room had no sun on it's balcony at any time during the day, yet the sun shone on other balconies in a different location of the hotel for most of the day. Wish I had known this before I checked-in. Just a tip for future prospective guests who want sun. Blame NATURE not the hotel!!

Super relaxing stay in a stunning location

Beautiful setting with amazing views. Lots of different areas with sun loungers and places to sit for a drink. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. Delicious breakfast, complementary Pilates class, massage available to book the same day, really friendly staff. All in all it was amazing.

Room with balcony provided a good view of beach. Good breakfast plenty of variety on offer however no barrister coffee on offer

Great holiday, but ended up being more pool based. But lovely, just a bit different from last time.

Shame the hotel hasn’t the private beach anymore. We prefer the beach, but the sunbeds were 50 euros per day to hire a sunbed from the nearest beach bar.

Hotel quality matches the location

Everything you expect from a 5 star but the location makes it one to remember. You can tell the hotel has had a major renovation with no expense spared. All the finishing are high quality and very nicely decorated with an open feel which is needed in the heat. Nice selection of sunbathing areas. The staff by the west side beach bar were extremely nice and genuinely cared about the guests. Breakfast was solid but not out of this world. Maybe a better coffee selection would be nice but I would still count the breakfast as 5 star

Like most hotels, the bar and restaurant at night lacks atmosphere. It's too big an area to get a 'buzz' feel and so you're left with people sitting at awkward distances from eachother. The inside bar isn't open during the day either so the lovely coffee machine seems to not be an option. It seemed a lot of guests including us used the closest two restaurants on the beach for lunch. I think a section of the seating area by the sea would be nice for lunch. Reception leaving were a tad cold. It was pretty transactional when paying without the usual "was everything okay" but not the end of the world.

Amazing stay in a beautiful location

Akrotiri is incredible, we are so glad we stayed here. The service was fantastic, location was beautiful with views of the beach from our room and comfortable beds. It’s very peaceful and we felt we were able to properly relax here, loved the yoga class and excellent breakfast service with a wide range of options. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends

Dreamy stay in Corfu

Beautiful location, jaw dropping views and about 30 min to main town and the North Eastern beaches. Would pick it over staying in main town for sure. Staff were excellent and even though it's a big hotel service feels very personal. Great recommendations from the staff in the main bar. Superbly clean, comfortable beds and nice rooms. We left Corfu late on the last day so it was great to have the pool/ gym shower to use to refresh at the end of the day before our flight.

I didn't think there were snorkels/ kayaks/ SUPs on offer which could be handy. Service around the pool and beach beds could be better - no one was coming around to take drinks orders and if you stay by the rocky beach or top of the other beach it's a hike to get to the bar. Pool area looking a bit tired but again minor. I am sure this will head into renovations in the next few years. I would happily stay again if coming to Corfu so it's all minor in my view.

Amazing location with beautiful views and plenty of cute restaurants to walk to for dinner. La Grota is a 2 min walk up the street and was a total highlight. Great breakfast

Great hotel, nice location in Corfu.

Perfect location on the best beach that we found. There are several restaurants within walking distance, but walking on the street can be difficult with traffic. It would be good to have a car to get around as we did. Excellent breakfast buffet and location overlooking both sides of the point. Beautiful pool area overlooking the sea with infinity pool.

Lavish Corfu Spot

The wonderful amenities - pool overlooking sea, private cliff side beach where my daughter and I snorkeled, food at the breakfast area sitting outside by the gorgeous sea views, dinner at the bar/restaurant with live music was a real treat too. Would highly recommend if you are seeking a resort style place to stay!

One of the best

The location of the hotel to the beach and restaurants is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and always friendly. The village is small but has plenty to offer. The locals are very friendly and helpful. Overall everything about this hotel and the village makes a holiday here one of the best.

The Hotel is in a lovely peaceful location with the most panoramic views. The food & Drink at the hotel was very good quality. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great stay in a beautiful place

Stunning location and views. The hotel was perfect and all the staff were lovely and very helpful. Being there in early May was great as the place was almost empty when we arrived. The view from the room was amazing, actually the view from every part of the hotel is amazing!

We could hear when people spoke in the hallway and next door.. not a problem but it might be different during high season.

Nice scenery but dated hotel in need of upgrading

- Lovely scenery with some of the best views around - The staff were very helpful and friendly - Location is good being only 30 mins from Corfu Town

- The resort is tired with an outdated pool area and the rooms need a refresh (beds, sheets, wardrobes etc) - Noise is a big issue at this hotel, you will hear everything your neighbouring room is doing … everything!!! - The beach below is not owned by the hotel … and costs € per day for a bed which feels misleading to call this hotel a beach resort (it is technically overlooking a beach) - The wifi cuts out constantly and is very unreliable - Finally the thing most in need of improvement is the food which was verging on a 2* hotel buffet at times

Overall, despite some minor issues, our experience was excellent.

The location of the hotel was exceptional, and the surrounding views were breathtaking. We stayed at the hotel for a week. However, after five days, we started feeling homesick, possibly due to the lack of a change in scenery (though this might just be us and the heat). The hotel's restaurant was a pleasant surprise, offering delicious and well-balanced meals. However, it would be preferable to have more protein options at breakfast. Stuff of the hotel were always ready to help you out.

The gym room at the hotel was quite small, and some training racks remained unfixed or broken throughout our stay. Additionally, the Pilates class in the morning was disappointing due to the instructor's lack of interest and professionalism. Conversely, the yoga instructor was such a delight that time flew by during the sessions. Be ready to see a few mosquito bites after a good night's sleep.

Worth all the money!

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff! Some of the best staff we have ever met in our lives. Even though it’s a big hotel, the staff made sure that we felt welcome. Very helpful and informative. Everyone was great - Vanessa, Spiros (both of them), Dimitris and everyone else (we are sorry that we didn’t get the all the names). We have to mention alle the facilities at this hotel. The pool, breakfast, the little shop, the lunch bar and more! The location was great for its purpose which was the beach. Amazing beach! So beautiful! The room was very clean and spacious. We were 3 in one room if we didn’t feel that the room was small. A really great stay. Thank you for everything. I personally want to say thank you for the gift I was given at check-our. We hope to see you again!

In our opinion there was a small variety of food for dinner. Also because one of us vegan and didn’t feel there was enough to choose from. There were a few spots at the rocky beach. It was hard to get a spot. Luckily there are a beach on the other side

Nice hotel but anything longer than 4 days would be plenty

We had an east facing room. Nicely decorated with a decent bathroom. The private rocky beach is great if you can nab a spot. The food was mostly good as well and had enough options to keep you occupied. The staff were lovely— particularly Eleni, Vanessa, Panagiotis and Spiros.

Some of the price points at the hotel are wild. Whoever is doing the markup is on another planet. The food is nice but come on. Same goes for the drinks which were basic cocktails. I get it’s a “nice” hotel but if you’re going to mark up that much on stuff that’s way cheaper literally metres away in other bars and restaurants at least make it exceptional. Also, if you’re driving prepare to risk it all every time you try to drive into the hotel. And parking is a life size version of Tetris, which is something to look forward to.

We had a lovely, relaxing time in a beautiful hotel, in a lovely location.

The hotel was very well presented, elegant and clean. The pool area was absolutely gorgeous, with the most amazing view, and there was both indoor and outdoor seating for having breakfast and evening meals, both with the same amazing view. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome on our arrival by Vanessa, who gave us a tour of the facilities and information on local services.

There could have been a few more sunbeds. It was sometimes difficult to get one.

Gorgeous resort

Gorgeously located in Paleokastritsas on the beachfront. Good transport links to Corfu old town, and lots of restaurants just a walk away. Lovely facilities - the pool bar was great and the beach was only a 30 second walk away. Staff were so incredibly lovely and helpful. Breakfast and dinner was included and was very yummy. Overall a lovely experience and would 100% return.

Exceptional

The hotel is perfectly located overlooking the two beautiful bays, the staff was incredibly warm and attentive and the beds were very comfortable. The restaurant had a balcony for alfresco meals which I really enjoyed and the food was great, both for breakfast and for the buffet dinner with plenty of variety and fresh ingredients. The building had recently undergone a refurbishment and the decor was of calming tunes and modern and clean lines. Overall a wonderful experience.

The mini fridge, although very welcomed in the bedroom, was a bit noisy during the night.
