Lovely location and friendly staff

Walls were thin and could hear everything either side. Turned up to a dirty room, which needed a lot of maintenance and bits were missing. The bed sheets didn’t fit the bed and the curtains didn’t fit the windows. The food was below par. Some excellent dishes and some were horrendous.

Do not stay here if you expect a 4 star hotel. It's NOT a 4 star hotel.

The highlight was leaving the hotel and moving to another one. Thankfully the hotel agreed to only charge the 2 nights out of 10. - The view from the hotel bar and restaurant was nice - Each room had it's own AC so it worked very well

The pictures that have been used to show the hotel, are not like the rooms you get - The room featured must have been a suite or a larger room that was not advertised. - There was no hot water, complained twice and was not fixed - Bed was extremely uncomfortable and struggled to sleep, you could feel the springs - Reception phone in the room didn't work - First night had to ask for towels as there was none - Spiders all over the bathroom ceiling - Mosquito's dotted over the walls and attacking you - it’s not a 4 star hotel as advertised (more like 2) - No kettle, tea, coffee or water in the room - Room smelt like sewage all night, doors were closed - Huge centipede found in the bed in the morning - No house keeping and room wasn't cleaned - The shower head was not moveable, it pointed in one direction straight in your face - We’ve asked to change room twice and they keep saying ‘come back the next day come back’ - Food was not what you'd expect from a 4 star all inclusive hotel - Only one bar and drinks were limited, the bar shut at 11PM and then you have to pay for your drinks (cash only) - Drink size was tiny in small plastic cups - Drinks were watered down (even the soft drinks) During our wait for the taxi (approx 45 minutes), we saw 3 other couples complain about the rooms - Do not stay here!!!

The Porto Demo hotel is a beautiful hotel with amazing facilities, ( if/ when they were available), and great potential. The location was perfect for a quiet and peaceful holiday with a handfuls of bars and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away. There were several small supermarkets and a couple of tourist beach shops just outside of the hotel. The catering at the hotel was amazing, the food was presented nicely and there was a lot of choice for all meals. The staff on site, we’re very friendly and the bar staff in particular went over and above some nights for us as they could see our frustration.

The entire trip was extremely marred by the fact that we had power outages continually throughout our stay. This meant that we missed out on entertainment evenings, we missed out on drinks as a part of the all-inclusive package, (machines not working),and caused personal injury while trying to do the hotels job for them, fetching our own drinks from a different area of the hotel to take up to the bar just to have some alcohol added one day when one area of the hotel had power, and the other did not. The Wi-Fi was unusable due to the constant power cuts, not that it was useable from our room anyway. We did not have running water available in our room for about 5 hours on one day. We were not warned that even with the all-inclusive package, we would have to pay for drinks at the bar after 10:45pm. Our first night at the hotel was without any air conditioning because of power cuts. It was not possible to sleep in these conditions. We had to spend a lot of money just to be able to get drinks from offsite, as the bar was always unavailable. We would not have had to spend this money if we had power and access to the bar like we had paid for. If you want to use a gym on holiday, this isnt the place for you. The gym has 2 properly functioning machines, and they still leave plenty to be desired, if you could even use the gym without lights or air conditioning. During powercuts, emergency lighting is kept on in the rooms and cannot be switched off if you go to sleep. I was made aware of this when i was woken up by a really bright light in the middle of one of the nights. This was not at all pleasant. If you want space, dont book the balcony-view room. The bathrooms are so small the door opens and physically hits the toilet. The showerhead seriously needs descaling. The cleanliness of the room also left plenty to be desired. Dust, hairs, sand, small bits of debris... when we first walked through the door! Not at all acceptable.

Honest review

I liked that the hotel was at Agios Georgios, because it is a beautiful location. Most of the staff were friendly, especially Antonio from the dining area who always smiled and said hi whenever he saw us. Hotel manager was also very friendly. There was entertainment at the bar (dances, live music and traditional greek dancing) that lasted till about 12-1am. Stunning views from the bar and dining area. Food was ok, sometimes we missed better selection of fresh salads or fish, but there was always somethibg to choose from, we never left the plaxe hungry.

We didn't like the cleanliness of our room, because since the moment we entered room seemed cleaned poorly. Also there were not enough towels for three people. The shower seemed confusing, because at first we thought there is no hot water, but later we figured out that you need to turn it to the left and wait a bit until warm water starts running. Also the hotel itself lacked cleanliness (dirty floor most of the times). Lots of stairs, also it can get very slippery when it's raining, so we needed to be very careful not to fall with all our luggage. There should be an elevator in this hotel. Also our room had just one key (no spare), so we were told by the cleaning ladies that if we want room to be cleaned and towels changed daily we should leave the key at the reception every time we leave the hotel, which seemed unacceptable to us. For this reason we had towels changed just twice during our stay. Another not pleasant thing is plastic cups and poor selection of drinks that are very low quality. Coffee poured from the coffee machine. Also air conditioner was leaking, so we had to put bin underneath just to make the room cooler. Mosquitos at night were also annoying and they bit us so much. I personslly haven't seen mosquitos like that (still have red dots a week after holiday is over). Too bad because we came here to celebrate our mom's birthday and to pamper ourselves a bit (first holiday together), but these small things made it not very enjoyable.

Only barman at the pool was fantastic. Nice view from pool area.

Very dirty. No staff to clean.Some rooms never clean for frw days Not enought sunbesds at the pool, people fighting to get one. No shower gel or soap in bathroom. Empty fridge in the room, not even water. Terrible management.

Nice view, friendly staff but not a great all inclusive hotel

The views were beautiful, the staff were all very nice apart from the older lady in reception. She was very rude when we checked out. Basically said you owe us €21 in tax, for what I don't know. Booking.com did note state we would need to pay this additional fee. Poor form from booking.com

Food was not the best, plastic water fountain beer glasses 200ml were terrible. Cocktails were vodka or gin with food colouring. Shower head bracket was broken when we got there. Pool bar toilet wasn't cleaned regularly. Room cleaning services were poor. Didn't even have fresh towels when we arrived. They only change the sheets every 3 days and empty the bin and change toilet paper. Poor form.

Lacklustre, disappointing and dirty.

It was dirty, the room was cleaned once our entire stay which we had to ask for. Food was mediocre and drinks were poor.

Perfect place to unwind

We love this place it is our favourite beach, a golden coast. It is a clean, quiet, adults only hotel, a great choice after a cruise with a sailing boat. Staff was friendly the food plenty and not repetitive. We will book for more days next time.

The rooms were lovely (we also got a free room upgrade, which gave us a room that backed onto a pool) and the hotel felt modern. The view of the bay was great.

Not enough sun beds and the food quality is comparable to a 2 star. Drinks also weren't great quality and not all the machines worked.

Coffee awful! Room wasn't serviced regularly enough. Towels were not changed and wecran out of toilet tissue. Bathroom in our room was not cleaned regularly enough.

You need a map to find your room and even the receptionist can't assist you. They didn't know when we arrived and when we were about to leave..in the middle of the night one of the receptionist and a guest entered our room. You need to go on the balcony, as there is No WiFi connection or signal in the room

- No hot water - Towels don’t get replaced, just taken from the room we had to go and ask for more - Bed sheets don’t get changed once our whole trip - Ventilation in bathroom doesn’t work so a very bad sewage smell took over our room - Room and bathroom aren’t clean (hairs and dirty tissues) - No housekeeping unless you beg the reception - Drains are dirty - No soap next to sink - Door left open on the couple of times housekeeping has come - Mould on the shower - Food was so bad it was almost inedible with flies all around the food - Without fail everyone we spoke to said they had also been fooled by the nice photos on here and everyone was asking for refunds which they would not give even when people were given the wrong rooms! - If you book a sea view you’ll be lucky to get one because they pick keys out of a pot like a lucky dip, lots of people moving rooms all the time

Don’t go there!!

There was potential for this to be a really lovely hotel. The actual position of the hotel in the bay was perfect.

It was dirty. The food was the same for every lunch and dinner. Food served for lunch was warmed up for dinner. The ice cream fridge hadn’t been cleaned out for months. The coffee urn was topped up with water from an ice bucket. The fruit and jam was left uncovered all the time and therefore covered in wasps. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly, the cleaners hair was left on the floor of our room. The steps up to our room and the main building were slippery when wet. The spirits in the bar were watered down as was the wine. No effort was made by the staff to make us welcome. Everything was an effort! The drip tray for the coffee dispenser was dirty and after the sixth day I changed it myself!

Not worth the money or hassle

Views from the balcony and the sunset was beautiful.

This hotel is NOT worth the money they charge........Firstly we did not get the room we paid for. We booked a suite with private pool and were given a double room....not as advertised....when we questioned this with the older women at reception they basically told us to go away we had a nice room and walked away.....ending the conversation and were VERY rude!!!!! We booked here for a seven night stay and ended up leaving early to go and finish our week in another hotel. We were not the only guests to do this. We could hear our neighbors next door use their bathroom the walls are that thin. We woke up most mornings, after our three hours sleep a night, due to the fact the beds are very uncomfortable and the mattress was old, with puddles of water in our room from the rain (weather can't be helped I know!) and big bugs on the floor, we tried to block it with towels both outside and inside but even that didn't work. A simple seal of some sort on the door would solve this issue I'm sure. Free WiFi only connects for two hours and you have to keep trying to re-connect in the hope you might get a signal. The food was basically the same every night and the drinks on offer aren't up to much at all. We ended up eating in local restaurants most days for their vast choices ( a personal choice I know!) There is a bad smell of sewage throughout the hotel. There are lots of steep steps to get to some rooms and can be hazardous and very slippy when wet. There are however some lovely staff who work there and do work very hard. I would highly advise to book elsewhere or if staying here to get written confirmation of your room booking in an email from the hotel itself especially if booking from a partner site where it's advertised.

The interior of the rooms and the standard, unfortunately, are not of the highest quality. Many pieces of equipment worn and broken. only a few rooms in the property with a nice view, the rest are burrows. I saw many better hotels in my life...

The view and friendly staff

The stench from the poo farm at the pool bar made it unbearable to use the pool or the bar which was the only real bar ! No hot water room 5 for three consecutive days the bathroom also stunk so bad I had to waste my perfume amd keep door shut - hotel sent wine abs fruit so when I returned back to room ant infested ! Just don’t book it the management lie says no problems before the coffee is cold and the all in drinks we’ll I couldn’t drink any of them ! The food well we are on Greece but no yoghurt at breakfast ! Need I go on worst hotel I’ve stayed at ever !

All inclusive was very good with excellent choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Drinks were local but good. The hotel was excellent in all ways but two things let it down one there are lots of steps to get anywhere but if you are fit then there is no problem and the other is poor wifi in all areas but reception. we would thoroughly recommend this hotel as it offers excellent value and within a very short walking distance to one of the best blue flag sandy beaches on the island. The views from the dining area and pool and bar to the blue sea were amazing. Live pool bar music at night were also good. I must mention the staff were very kind and helpful and went out of their way to make you welcome

The many steps to the different areas of the hotel but if you are fit then there is no problem. The Wifi is terrible. If you want to connect to the internet you have to go to reception area to be able to connect to the internet.

One of the very best hotels I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms a,high quality service and delicious meals. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing,they all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience, love the charm of this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone!
