Perfect little spot for a short stay in Beer.

Such a perfect little spot with a beautiful garden. Would highly rate it for a short stay in the area.

Nothing, had everything we needed (and more) for a one night stay.

Very enjoyable.

As a lone traveller, who stayed for 7 nights, I found the accommodation more than adequate for my needs. The room is set in the garden with its own entrance and garden furniture in a very sunny spot. The room and en-suite were very clean and comfortable. The owner, a very pleasant lady, provided a good selection of teas and coffee. Milk and water was also available in a small fridge in the room. I would have no hesitation in staying at Southerhay again.

Below average end of season stay

Liked the location in Beer

The room was tired; an uncomfortable bed, threadbare rugs, a tv with poor reception. The towels smelled a little. Ok it was the end of season and the proprietor tried very hard but sadly this room was not that good.

A true gem of a place, with a wonderful host, great value for money

This is a great find, convenient for town & beach, a quaint annex with everything you could want for a comfortable stay. Met by host who made us feel so welcomed & spoiled nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back. Luckily the first day was beautiful weather & we spent a great couple of hours in the sunny court yard garden sipping wine, truly a relaxing stay.

This is a pleasant, lovely place we would be happy to come to again!

This is a quiet, beautiful place to enjoy the Jurassic Coast. Our room was artsy, super clean with a very comfortable bed, nice private garden to enjoy, and we had a friendly and generous host. We would definitely stay here again.

Street parking on a nearby narrow lane made us a little nervous about our rental car, but it worked out okay.

Wonderful hidden gem set in a private garden with lovey plants and chairs and a table where you can sit out on a sunny evening. Very secluded and private

Clean and the host was friendly and managed to get us parking in a neighbour s garden

Parking situation - there seemed space in the house car park. It the host didn’t want it used. The place was rather cramped, very little space and we felt it was too expensive for what it was

The host was there to meet us and very helpful. The location was great with a bus to Seaton just around the corner or just a short walk to the center of Beer.

Friendly, comfortable and a relaxing.

I received a very warm welcome. This accommodation came with its own small garden, where I could sit and have a drink. The tea and coffee facilities were outstanding. There is only a short walk down to the beach.

It’s a shame there is no parking, although I did manage to park on the street near by.

Great accommodation in a lovely place

The location is perfect. Close to Beer and walking and The Grizzly running event. The room was very clean. Comfortable bed. Powerful shower. Extra heater if required. WiFi good. Lots of towels. Milk and water in the fridge. Good coffee. Even a chocolate and biscuits. Quiet. Great views. Lots of character.

A lovely and homely place to stay in Beer.

A very nice room with parking in a great location in Beer. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided, WiFi was good. There was a small seating area with views of the lovely garden, which we were unfortunately not able to make use of due to the weather, but would be lovely on a sunny day. The host, Jane, was super friendly and hospitable so we had a lovely stay.

The location is close to the village and beach. The room has its own patio and you can sit outside. The host Janet is extremely friendly and helpful. We were provided with glasses and snacks for our drinks and we were able to have coffee in the sun before we left. A perfect place to stay and extremely good value. Thank you!

Very Quiet Stopoff

Overall, I enjoyed the one night I was there - all was comfortable though came prepared with something for supper so I didn't have to go out. Hostess Jane kindly brought me a tv and hooked it up and internet was great. Made my own breakfast with kettle and ground coffee provided. Room was comfortable though heat went off at night and I didn't realize there was an electric heater in the closet I could have used. Shower was fantastic. Reasonable cost for area.

Accessibility was a bit of a problem - parking is off a hill through a gate so didn't leave once I got there. Place could be hard to find. Usually no TV provided.
