Comfortable bed, excellent shower, spacious room with lovely period features. Breakfast in Lydia’s beautiful kitchen was delicious 😀

There is nothing that would put me off recommending Minton House however a blackout blind or linings would be something I would add 😀

A lovely stay

Lidia was a wonderful host. We loved the spacious, private room in a beautiful home with separate access. The bed was very comfortable with beautiful linen. Minton house is in the centre of a lovely, quaint little town and also in driving distance to other well known towns and stunning countryside and coastal walks. We especially loved having a home cooked delicious breakfast every morning and chatting with Lidia. She is a very friendly, welcoming host. We highly recommend a stay here.

We loved staying here.

It is a lovely private room on the ground floor with a nice walk in shower. The location was quiet, parking easy and right in the centre of Colyton. Such a lovely host. Excellent breakfast. We felt very welcome and it was lovely spending time at Minton House

An enjoyable stay in a beautiful part of Devon

A lovely part of Devon. The breakfast was enjoyable and quality was first class. Our room was nicely decorated in a country classic style.

We weren't aware that there was a carnival in the village on the Saturday until we arrived on Friday evening and found out that the roads would be closed at around 5.30- 6pm (I think), so we felt we needed to return early.

Superb

The host was very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and had a great shower. Breakfast was tasty and good. The village was pretty and had a few good places to eat. Good location.

Felt a bit confined in the room as no outlook but we were out most of the time. Perhaps a little garden area for visitors just to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. There was a garden but felt it was private.

Great place to stay

The location was great, right in the centre of this lovely small town. There was parking on the drive next to the house. The room was really comfortable and a good size. Lydia was delightful and we had a good long chat over a very good breakfast. Have already tried to go back but the room was booked.

it was good to be self contained. lovely village & lovely house. hostess excellent as was breakfast.

the only thing was that the duvet was very heavy for time of year although we did have an exceptionally hot few days whilst there.

Lydia, lovely host. Great B&B in good location for visiting East Devon

Plenty of options for breakfast and the option to choose the time you would like to have breakfast. We found this particularly helpful. My food intolerances were taken into consideration and alternatives were thankfully provided. The room was spotlessly clean. Everything we needed was there. A nice touch having our own fridge, and finding fresh, chilled milk and water inside. We enjoyed our interactions with Lydia. She was attentive and very approachable. A lovely, friendly host. It was nice to have a separate entrance from the main house. Plenty of parking nearby. We will have no hesitation in recommending Minton House to our friends and family for an excellent base to visit that area of Devon.

I booked Minton House via booking.com for a friends wedding and Lydia contacted me shortly after to introduce herself and also offer an additional nights stay if needed. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcome as soon as we arrived! Having breakfast in the morning and getting to chat with Lydia was a real highlight! We would stay again, and definitely recommend to others looking for an East Devon mini break!

Lovely to meet Lydia and Paul who were very friendly and welcoming. We had the King room which had private access and found the bed very comfortable. Lovely breakfasts too. The room was very clean. Parking space in driveway at side of house.

A very good overnight stay in a well presented room by people who cared for our comfort.

Good size and well equipped room with an excellent en-suite shower. Freshly cooked breakfast with a variety of cereals and home made yoghurt as well. Our own private entrance.

Lovely couple . Brilliant breakfast. The room was beautiful and extremely clean. Great that there is a parking space next to the property. Wonderful large shower. Bed really comfortable. Nice to have fresh milk and a bottle of water in the fridge plus plenty of tea and coffee in the room.

Warm and Welcoming

The host was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The room was warm, clean and comfortable and ideal for us. Although the village is small the location was ideal for access to other facilities. When we pulled up to Minton House it looked like parking would be a problem, but this was found to be ill founded as Minton House had it's on drive to park on. Lovely breakfast, the sausage was delicious.

Ability to open the window for ventilation especially at night time. Also impossible to see out of the window due to opaque film covering the glass. In the summer this could possibly be very difficult due to the heat.
