We were unable to stay in the property due to the severe dirtiness and the unpleasant, foul odor inside.

Horror room (ALARMING)
I like the fact that we didnt have to stay longer than 2 days. Which even 2 days were too long for this place.
Feeling like you step into a horror/action movie... that's the first impression we had about this place.
The man who was actually the owner, told us that we shouldnt expect more of the place since it's in the ghetto (with all due respect) so we should be ok with everything it's in it.
We had to wait for the checkin so we went on the back/garden which was filthy as it could be, broken windows, dirt all over, rubbish thrown everywhere, spoons used for drugs, clothes everywhere, and eyes staring at us from the balconies, people screaming and even harassing us, asking questions in which room are we staying. It was quite unpleasant and very creepy.
Opening the door, the moment we turn on the lights... you could see a race of cockroaches was taking place in the whole room. It was horrible.
The apartment was actually one room and it was nothing like it was in the photos that booking.com displays, which is worrying how booking.com could allow such thing on their site. And we come far away from Belgium to this place, which in fact ruined our trip. The bed, was not a bed... it was a couch and it was pretty dirty that we were concerned to even sit and let alone sleep on it.
Checked the toilet... thinking that's the place you shower, but I wouldnt recommend it. The fungus around the shower was alarming, the toilet smell was awful... the walls dirty, filthy, oily...I have no words to describe that.
Went downstairs to report the smell... the man said "its spraid for the cockroaches and the other insects they were "cultivating" there. It was the last minute, and we didnt have a plan B which we already lost alot of time arriving to that place.
We tried to contact booking.com but there was no internet... they had a router with a password that didnt even work.
Tried to wash a glass the sink was totally detached and broken that the water floated all over the place.

The apartment is basic, but considering that, it is good enough for what I wanted.
First impressions about the location were not great. Best as a base for exploring Marseille rather than somewhere to spend time.

I’m not going back for sure!
There was no fan, no AC, so you have to open the window which may couse disturbance, harassment, and lots of noise. Also there was a smell in the room. And the shower column needs to be fixed. Also It was not easy to find response or reply from the owner.

Bad experience, not worth the low price
Our room looked as described. The bed pulls out to fit two people.
Room had no WiFi. This was resolved by the host by getting a portable WiFi device, which was appreciated.
Unfortunately this was a disappointment, even for the lower price for a place in Marseille. We booked this place to do some cooking however the equipment is so lacking we could hardly do so.
The room was listed with WiFi however no WiFi when we arrived, as we are from overseas we had no mobile data and had to use the train station wifi to contact the host, going back and forth after check in which was ridiculous. I was told the day prior that WiFi information would be given to us upon check in. Only after requesting this three times were we told there actually was no WiFi.
The apartment is located in an apartment complex that at times felt worrying, with dark hallways, and stunk of urine and cigarettes. The elevator broke during our stay and we used the stairs, which had actual faeces on them during our 5 flight decent.
The dishes and cutlery inside were filthy, we had to go and buy our own. There is no washing up liquid and the cloth was very smelly and stained.
The windows for the space did open though we had to close them often because cigarette smells continued to come inside.
The bathroom had a bad smell coming from the drain. The cover does help somewhat but the door always needed to be closed. Shower is also very small, we had our back on the wall, with the shower curtain touching you at all times.
There is no quilt, there is a quilt cover that you are expected to place two mattress protectors inside to act as your blanket.
We killed three cockroaches during our stay in here. We felt dirty the whole time.

Piteuse
Insalubre, aucun Acceuil aucune communication les clés sont dans des boites dehors quand on part à 6h aucun éclairage pour remettre les clés . Le seul avantage quand on a annulé son train et qu’on est obligé de rester deux jours, c’est que c’est à cinq minutes de la gare Saint-Charles.

Apparemment très sal odeur de pipi dans la toilette calcon retrouver drap plien de tache de sperme vaisselle sal serviette qui pue lit hyper inconfortable trop de bordel dans l’immeuble et quand j’ai essayer de contacter le service client on m’a remballer et plus rependu

Rat et cafard dans l’appartement, crotte de rat de partout et les rats ce baladent , des pièges à rat son placer à plusieurs endroits dans l’appartement, la cohabitation avec ceux ci ne nous avait pas été indiqué sur la réservation, hôte et conciergerie injoignable…
Pas de volet , pas de rideau occultant, télé cassé , lampe cassé, aucun produit de nettoyage, pas de serviette, pas de Clim fonctionnelle, pas de papier wc, logement situé dans un bloc vraiment pas sécuritaire, pas de vaisselle dans l’appartement et j’en oublie énormément … bref ni n’allait , nous avons pris absolument toutes les photos et vidéos de preuves à notre arrivée, nous avons demander un dédommagement qui n’est jamais arrivée

Nous ne sommes pas resté, à peine arrivé nous avons demandé un remboursement.

L’annonce n’était pas juste.
Finalement, en arrivant on nous annonce pas de parking, car les 2 places sont prises on nous propose de se rendre dans un garage couvert or nous avions des bagages.
On a dû attendre presque 2h avant de pouvoir accéder au logement.
L’état des communs de la résidence était déplorable.
Le logement était sale, j’ai dû laver des assiettes pour grignoter un morceau avant de reprendre tous nos bagages et partir.
On trouvait l’appartement sale en général
Pour 2 personnes un seul oreiller sans housse
Vieux drap
Lit d’appoint fragile et bancale etc…
On a fini par prendre un hôtel, jeter nos courses et perdre notre journée à tenter de respecter cette réservation.
