A calm, cozy getaway with a great sauna and unforgettable salmon soup.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Kätkä Lake Lodge. It’s a cozy, peaceful place right in nature, perfect for switching off and relaxing. The sauna was a real highlight after a day outside, and the whole atmosphere felt warm and comfortable. Also, special mention to the food: the salmon soup is to die for. We re still talking about it.

Tranquility and Nature - Right at your Doorstep!

Kätkä Lake Lodge is truly a magical place! We really enjoyed our stay here and honestly, the lodge was our favorite stay during our week long trip to Finland. Firstly, Mikko, the owner is a fantastic host. Always there to answer our questions and really appreciated his help/comments regarding road conditions before we got there. Second, if you are looking for a place that provides peace and tranquility, the lodge is it. We really enjoyed snowshoeing on the trail across the way, it made me so happy! The breakfast options were great as well - lots to choose from. My friend is vegetarian and she enjoyed the spread as well. Kiitos very much Mikko!

Beautiful , serene, amazing place to stay!

We stayed for a week in February. It was the most beautiful location, and so peaceful and serene. The cabin overlooked the lake. We enjoyed being away from everything and everyone. The area was stunning and we loved waking up each morning and looking out over the frozen lake. We had 2 nights of aurora borealis and took beautiful pictures from standing on the lake. The cabin was cozy and comfy and warm. It had a small kitchen area, but note there is no oven or microwave, but that didn't bother us. There is a perfectly suitable bathroom with a powerful shower. The owner, Mikko, is a lovely chap who knows the area and is an interesting and intelligent person to chat with. His moose stew is amazing and I would recommend booking a table for this. The breakfast is really nice and filling and his coffee is top notch! We just can't fault this place at all! We would be happy to return in the near future. It was just magical!

The lodge is beautiful, comfy, private and warm. We loved the location, the kindness of the host and the food served! We really recommend this place if you’re looking for an accommodation in Lapland away from the crowded places. Try the salmon soup ;)

Best place to enjoy Lapland !

Such a serene place, enjoy the silence and calm! Surrounded by forests, lakes, nature at its best ! Ideal place to relax, hike, watch aurora ! The lodge is warm, cozy, has everything you need. Breakfast is great also! Mikko was a great host, helped us with anything we needed, thank you !

Amazing stay, considering of returning!

Mikko (the owner) and Onni (his lovely dog) were an absolutely great hosts for our stay. Unfortunately, I got very sick during the stay and Mikko even drowe me to the nearest city to get some help. I really apprechiate this act. He is very friendly and attentive, prepares the breakfast for whatever time you wish. :) The lounge area is very cosy, there is a reading corner, warm chimney and beautiful view all around the place. It is a remote location, very silent and just perfect for full relax.

In the middle of the winter, these roads are slippery, you should drive carefully if you are not familiar with the surrondings.

Una fiaba....un luogo incantevole per vivere la vera Lapponia. Un lodge incastonato sulle rive di un lago ghiacciato. Un silenzio magico. La struttura è confortevole, si consiglia la sauna e di assaporare il silenzio. La colazione essenziale ma buona.

Nulla. La distanza da Rovaniemi in inverno potrebbe essere un problema soprattutto in caso di neve ma lo sforzo merita la visita.

Fridfullt ute i vildmarken!

Lugnt och fridfullt. Trevligt rum, som INTE har TV, vilket vi tycker är väldigt skönt! Gott om P-platser där det även finns möjlighet att ladda el-bil (2×22kW) Bra vandringsmöjligheter alldeles intill.

Tyvärr är Cafe och Restaurang stängd under lågsäsong, vilket inte framgick i Bookings presentation.

Gemütliches, liebenswertes Hotel direkt an Wanderweg.

Eigentlich nur als Zwischenstopp geplant, war das eine der besten Unterkünfte auf unserer Reise! Sehr kleines gemütliches Hotel mit drei Zimmern. Der Inhaber macht von Frühstück, Hotel bis Kochen zum Abendessen alles selbst und ist sehr nett! Gutes Frühstück war dabei. Abends kann nach Vorbestellung und gegen Aufpreis aus zwei bis drei Gerichten gewählt werden. Ist sehr sehr lecker und zu empfehlen! Wir durften uns Schneeschuhe ausleihen und haben eine Wanderung gemacht. Direkt vor der Tür startet ein sehr schöner 7km langer Wanderweg. Außerdem liegen zwei Seen ebenfalls direkt vor der Tür. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können die Unterkunft nur wärmsten empfehlen!

Super Geheimtipp. Außergewöhnliche Lage mit direktem Blick auf den See. Ruhiges Ambiente. Wir blieben zwei Nächte mit unserem Hund. Nach einer ausgiebigen Schneewanderung sind wir in die Sauna gegangen (direkt am See, zur alleinigen Nutzung). Die Polarlichter konnten wir in der Silvesternacht sehen :)! Die Gastgeber sind äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wer auf der Suche nach was ruhigem, naturverbunden ist, ist bei der Lodge bestens aufgehoben. Wir kommen wieder.

Ein Traum

Chef sehr freundlich, hat extra für uns nach der Sauna am See gekocht, nur für uns zwei sehr lecker. Toll Gespräche. Hatte am nächsten Tag eine schlimme Konjunktivitis, hat uns einen Termin im Gesundheitszentrum besorgt wo ich ein Rezept für Augentropfen beikommen habe. Vielen Dank Die Sauna am zugefroren See bei minus 20 grad, das Abendessen, das Zimmer alles super, wer es wie wir einsam mag
