Loved it.

All instructions given by host in locating studio and key were accurate. Studio is equipped with numerous cooking options. Information book was precise and up to date. Entrance well away from the busy rd. Lovely peaceful garden.

Overall a pleasant stay but would not stay there again, alone.

Location was ideal, not far from Kerikeri and Waipapa.

The neighbour in the adjacent dwelling who has to pass the little cottage. Speeding out and in past my vehicle. Not impressed, as stones could have easily flicked up at the speed he was going. It felt like he lived next door. He actually gave me the creeps if I'm honest. Male in his late 30s to early 40s. I have been so busy that I haven't reached out to speak with the manager or owner. Especially since leaving the short stay. Also, could hear activity in the adjacent tool shed in the middle of the night and was restless, not paranoid. People were milling around on the property during the day outside my accommodation as I was trying to rest, but couldn't after the restless two nights. Not ideal in the winter, but I see why there a two heaters as there are louvre windows in the main/open plan area and bathroom.

Felt at home - like a nostalgic NZ bach - cosy.

Really sweet old-fashioned place. Easy drive to Kerikeri or Waipapa. Comfy bed, sheets smelled lovely+++. Good heaters and electric blanket for winter. Lovely to find Kerikeri oranges waiting and being allowed to take some fallen citrus. Good TV. Quiet, private.

Busy road at times made turning into drive to be treated with care. No oven but did have air fryer.

Some serious safety issues, fire extinguisher on the floor by front door smoke detector not working, lead on fridge taped up, no extractor in kitchen or bathroom, insufficient heating and clearly no insulation.

It felt like home away from home and there was a little note thanking our booking and telling us to enjoy our stay , I liked that. It was nice to have this space whilst we were going through our last moments with our dad, we needed somewhere asap and within budget. Thankyou

It was as per the photos and the location was great. Linda was a responsive host and the studio was very clean. It has its own charm and so long as you’re not expecting 5 star luxury accomodation then you’ll really enjoy your stay. Fridge is old, the bathroom dated but this is all part of what I believe it’s comfortable charm. Bed was comfy, WIFI worked perfectly and the shower was lovely and hot and I felt shower pressure was better than expected. Property is quite lovely and the bird calls made me feel at home. Fridge has freezer which works a treat as we travelled with ice packs for transporting food.

There was some heavy trucks passing through in the middle of the night but didn’t bother me however it did disturb my husband. If you’re a light sleeper then make sure you have some earplugs just in case. I would not let this deter you from booking the property. The curtains in the kitchen - they do not fit the windows so do let light into the room in the morning as also light in colour however this can be easily alleviated with an eye mask which I had. For me personally I’d have a multiway that could sit on the bench so I could use toaster there and not on top of the fridge but no major problem if you’re tall. This would have also let me position the mirror there so I could blow dry my hair easily. Minor things that I don’t feel would deter me from booking the property again. It’s a lovely quirky space.

The mirror in the bathroom was too high - bigger mirror and lower for us vertically challenged.

Neil became ill and we had to leave after one night instead of two but host Linda was fantastic.

The property was exactly as had been advertised, which is not always the case. The location was good and quiet.

The only thing we would have liked would be a space for hanging your clothes.

Location was great, not noisy and a pretty natural rural surrounding with easy access. Best sleep so far on our vacation!

Internet access was sometimes sporadic but its rural so no biggie as we hotspotted. Some bugs but its rural so par for the course and no biggie lol.
