Expect to be disappointed

Off street parking, and close to a supermarket and the motorway.

The whole house is in very poor condition. The beds were uncomfortable, hair in one of the beds. The washing machine is out of order (looks like it has been for a long time.) The back door handle comes off in your hand. It doesn't meet the NZ minimum rental standards. I only chose it because we just needed a place to sleep, and it was cheaper than a motel.

Mould disaster

The house smelt of mould. After being there for two nights we (3) adults all ended up with sore throats. My daughter on the second night had to remove herself from the bedroom and slept on the lounge in the dinning room. Not a pleasant place to stay 😕

Mt Wellington house

We liked the location and when we called or messaged owners responded promptly.

1stly we got to property and there was no hot water it had been turned off. We had to get the neighbour to come over and help. We could not shower or bath our grandbabies after a full day of travel. 2nd there was no welcome folder with WiFi information or local spots that customers may enjoy like local food spots. Luckily we know the area but this will definetly be useful for future stayers. I messaged the owners and they responded promptly. 3rd The washing machine didn't work, there was no where to dry clothes. I messaged the owner and they dropped off a clothes rack to dry clothes. By the time I figured out the machine didnt work I had given up and went to use the local laundry mat. Lastly I feel the family/lounge room was sacrificed for an extra bedroom. There was no room we could all sit in comfortably as a family. I felt it nessessary to rearrange the furniture so we could all eat a meal together and watch a movie together. Unfortunately I would not stay at this premises again.

The whole house had only one face mirror in the first bathroom. The hot water was inconsistent. The washing machine in the back bathroom didnt work so we weren't able to wash the towels. The running taps in the first bathroom ran very slow for warm water. The shower head had to hot water come out of It. There were no cloths to wipe sink.

Probably would get sick staying here! Been trying to get refund and the owner does not want to. Scammers!!! This house should be burned to the ground!

Cheap

The price. It had a heat pump and shower pressure was good. We were also able to check in early which was great of the host to be accommodating so we could set the house up before we went out. Location is good for shopping

Wasn’t very clean. Was a ball of someone’s hair on the window sill in the bathroom the first cup we grabbed was dirty. Beds were very unsanitary no mattress protectors no top sheets some of the pillows cases were sowed on so they can’t be changed. I know of someone that’s had bed bugs so we felt so yucky we went down to Kmart and purchased bedding so we could sleep on top of the beds. And also no tv

Clean, and tidy place to rest your head for the night.

A very clean house, very close to the venue that we attended, Supermarket was just up the road. Had all the basics that we needed.

Was very hard to find in the dark. 1 bed was very squeaky.

The blankets were comfortable.

I don’t expect a perfectly renovated house or the newest furniture, but at least it would have been nice if it would have been clean. Dirt on the blankets and spiderwebs on the head of the bed wasn’t the best to feel comfortable to be honest.

Loved that it was a last minute booking and at such a late time in the night. The owners were easy to deal with on the phone very fast communication. We had the whole entire house with 2 toilets which was a bonus for our Whānau. It was the perfect size for our family and our kids enjoyed it just as much as we did. There also a washing machine and the weather was so great we were able to do that. The location was also in a GREAT spot as it had a variety of shops surrounding it and not to far from rainbows end. It had a few malls close by as well as supermarket.

Other than the house being such an amazing location, only a couple of minor things. I didn't wana leave our dishes for rhe cleaner and tried to leave it as clean as we found it, there were no tea towels we were lucky to have our own as we had been camping as well. House was a little musty but like nothing to complain about. Bath tub sink was blocked so we had to buy some stuff to unclog it as we let the owner know and he said he would look at it upon our leave so I wasn't keen to have a shower in a blocked tub. Other than that the stay was so amazing and I would definitely recommend and book again.

The property was unclean, clothing and rubbish left from previous guests. House had a terrible smell which gave our family all a headache. Had to find another place to stay for the night due to how terrible this place was. Should be blacklisted as this is not suitable for any guest.

Great location. Great amenities available to use and Handy with all the appliances available. House was mostly clean with clean towels/linen being supplied and floor and furniture seemed to be all clean.

There was no T.V or lounge, nothing in the kitchen for cooking, like salt/pepper or cooking oils, only one tea towel and no dishwasher, no laundry or dryer either which made doing the dishes hard with a dirty tea towel the whole weekend. The house wasn’t overly clean when we arrived, cups stains on the sink etc. Also right on the highway.

There were so many we did not like about the property, like there were no curtains on the windows so when we pulled the blinds back to let sun in, the inside was visible to the road so we had to close the blinds when we went out, the toilets were dirty, they looked like they were not cleaned at all before we got there!, the front bedroom had a bad smell, my daughter saw something like an insect on the bed, we had to buy a steamer to steam the bed!.. there was only 1 thin tea towel provided for our 4 night stay. We had to ask for more. The windows could do with painting. The hand held shower did not work, also could use a non-slip mat in the bath when guests are showering as very slippery.

I think it was value for money, even more so if the issues I brought up have been dealt with.

I liked that they had body wash available, good shower pressure, nice kitchen sink with new benchtop, and it had a homely feeling with nice decor. In a handy location to Sylvia Park just down the road.

The owners use a cleaning service company after customers have stayed. My feedback helped bring awareness to the quality of the service they provided. I reported that they didn't provide top sheets, only the bottom sheet so it left us concerned as to the cleanliness of the comforters. Fortunately, some of us had sleeping bags to use. I am hoping they have rectified this. The house itself is like an old bungalow, cosy with old fixtures and cabinets. The outside could use a little weeding and lawn tidy.

The house smelt, it was very old and not decorated. The beds were super uncomfortable the pillows and linen were cheap and nasty. We were very uncomfortable in this house, nobody showered as we were uncomfortable about using the facilities due to the state of everything. There were two toilets but no running water other than the kitchen. It was the worst place we have ever stayed.

When we moved in,this property had dusty bedding plus when we ask them to clean they charged us $85. than later on we discovered that the property was hunted. We couldn’t stay at that property so we asked them to take out the 3 days fee and refund the rest of the money they only refunded us 200 something. Which is very disappointing

I would say 'well done' to your cleaner. The beds were well made and the house was spotless.

I liked that the place was very clean if somewhat sparten. A few wine/drinking glasses would have been appreciated, along with a salt and pepper shaker. Perhaps a mini milk in the fridge for a cuppa tea. More tea towels for drying dishes and a couple of extra bath mats would be a good idea too. Also a roll of paper towels to keep the microwave clean.

I used the room with the single bed. A little stool or side table would be appreciated to leave glasses/phone on (better than the floor). Perhaps a mirror too would be handy. I had visitors from overseas. The lawns needed mowing out the back. The long grass made the place look a little unkept. I'm not sure if the front door could be opened. This could be a hazard if there was a fire. I didn't notice any fire alarms in place.
