I love the location, the view, the simplicity of the chattels, the apartment comes with everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home. Cook in the apartment or eat out at one of the many splendid food outlets and restaurants Birkenhead has on offer!

Excellent apartment in a perfect location for me. Be aware that it is not in the centre of Auckland but in a very close suburb. Birkenhead is great, with many lovely walks in the nearby nature reserves and a vast amount of good cafes and restaurants. It is also very quick and easy to get a bus to the centre of Auckland - takes literally minutes and the buses run at all hours. Download the AT Mobile app. Alternatively, I had a car for some of the time and there is free, secure parking included. The apartment is in a lovely safe area, the facilities were great and there is a wonderful view from the balcony. There was a good amount of space, and a well equipped kitchen. The host was very responsive and helpful if I messaged. I stayed for 2 weeks and I would return. It felt like home!
Some of the furniture, fixtures and fittings are a little worn and old. Cleanliness is good but there are a few stains on the carpets, some wear and tear on the living room tables and the lights above the kitchen counter need some attention to bring them up to standard. Very small things, but paying attention to the interiors would absolutely elevate this property to a 10.

The location is good for what we needed to visit family.
The beds were not very comfortable, there was plastic mattress protector on one bed in particular that was terrible. I totally think mattress protecters should be used, but not cheap horrible ones that keep you up all night when you move slightly. There was a room perfume bottle with no perfume in it, stuck to the bedside table? The bedside lamp did not work. The sofa was very stained and there was food scraps on the kitchen floor.
