Sky Stars CBD Apartment

The Sky Stars CBD Appartement is in a great location. It’s just a short walk from public transport and shops. It’s a great place from which to explore the city of Auckland. The flat was well-equipped, with a washing machine, a dishwasher and the necessary cleaning products, as well as salt, pepper, coffee and tea. We really appreciated this during our first few days.

Given the numerous photos online, it was hard to picture the space we were going to be staying in. The flat was rather small and consisted of just one large open-plan room. The bed was right by the entrance. Despite our initial surprise, there was enough space for two of us.

Our host, Grace, was genuinely so great. She gave us all the information we would need for getting there and checking in, as well as answering any questions I had. When we needed assistance, she was on it. Admittedly, the lay out of the apartment through us off a bit as you immediately enter into the bedroom. That being said, the apartment was great. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen functional and well supplied, the bathroom was clean and modern, and the lounge area was homey. I genuinely loved the apartment. In the building were several facilities that we could use including a gym, pool, and sauna. The gym was well designed and the pool was always clean.

The only thing I wasn't sold on was the pool being as cold as it was. My partner absolutely loved the sauna, however, I don't go in them so hoped to use the pool. I have swam in Lake Taupo in winter and still found this pool cold. I understand this is a building issue that is expensive to change. This didn't majorly affect our stay so I really didn't mind it.
