Beautiful views, amazing staff

You must have adventurous palate to eat here. Would have been nice if there was an option for Western breakfast.

The views were amazing and the room was beautiful. But what made it truly an excellent stay were the warm and attentive staff - they were friendly and enthusiastic in responding to our questions, and in sharing with us about Atami and Japan. Special mention goes to the staff who welcomed us and served us our meals during our stay (eg Ms Yang, Youta, etc), as they made this first trip to Atami extra special. Thank you to all the staff!

The facilities were excellent - clean, great quality, comprehensive. The room was a bit of a squeeze for our family - 2 adults, 2 children (8 and 11 years old), but overall it was still comfortable and enjoyable. It was nice to have our own onsen out at the balcony. Public onsen was really excellent, with free drinks provided at the super comfortable rest area. Most commendable is the personalized service - all the hotel staff were so polite, professional, helpful and thoughtful - thank you! Special mention to Zark, who attended to us for our meals throughout the stay. He was new but had the most sincere and earnest spirit - all the best to you Zark and thank you for your kind and helpful attentiveness!

On the pricier side. We also got a lot of insect bites, which seemed to have come into the room through the night despite the netted door.

This onsen has a reasonable location. Just a short shuttle bus ride to Atami station. The in room onsen bath was very spacious and good. Shuttle service is free for a once a day round trip while you stay and made by your requested schedule.

Food was just in the OK range. Certainly not Kaiseki quality as offered. Variety was good but too may small dishes and frequently overcooked fish.
