お食事が夕食、朝食とも素晴らしく、肉を食べない婿への配慮も完璧、英語のメニューと誕生祝いの花火にも感激。 宿泊した漱石の部屋の窓からの景色とかけ流し風呂とサウナを楽しめた。 帰途湯河原駅まで送っていただけたのも有り難かった。

高齢者にとって急な階段の上り下りがつらく、エレベーターがあったらと思った。 狸の置物のある大浴場の露天風呂に手すりがなかったので、足元に自信がなく入れなかった。

Hervoragendes und zuvorkommendes Personal, gesamte Hotel japanisch minimalistisch. Sehr sauber.

1) Das Personal hat zum Ende des Keiseki-Dinners bereits begonnen zu putzen und aufzuräumen. Das Dessert gabe es deshalb in der Lobby. Nachts ist kein Personal im Hotel, ich vermute das Personal wollte früh nach Hause. 2) Das Keiseki-Dinner war ohne Highlight und nur gut angerichtet, aber qualitativ und geschmacklich sehr niedriger Durchschnitt (z.B. trockene gegrillte Makrele) 3) Der Onsen im Appartment sollte renoviert werden. Von der Holzumrandung fielen abgefaulte Stücke ab. Es roch leicht nach Schimmel.

The onsen on the balcony with the view of the forest was perfect! The meals were great too!

The Staff and the service was great. We arrived almost midnight but the manager still waited for us. He is probably in his 70s, but offered to carry our heavy luggage downstairs. We felt bad because we know how heavy it was, so my husband insisted on carrying it instead. The meals we had all 3 days were great. Each day was different and the amount of care and love they put into each dish was unmatched. We had free-flowing onsen in our room to soak in whenever we want.

The onsen appeared a little dirty because it's open-air, so a lot of bugs would fall into the water. Also, the walls in the onsen looked like they got mold, which was very concerning to one's health. The room sometimes have a little funky smell, I guess it's coming from the river, because our room was right next to the River and the Onsen water didn't smell anything.
