Everything. I liked how intimate it was and how well the staff took care of you. The private onsen was amazing. The dining room and meals were next level.

Could use a full body mirror in a room but it’s such a small thing.

The facilities, vibe, onsen and staff were incredible. We felt like royalty. The room was ridiculous spacious and well thought out. The restaurant amazing.

The onsen, room and meal were amazing. The lady looking after us was lovely!

The reception staff in particular were extremely rude and unwelcoming. We arrived early before the check-in time, when it was heavy rain. We were not allowed to enter the building (even to use the toilet) and the bags that we left were immediately wiped down. All staff were obstinate about timings. You must not be one minute early or late to dinner or breakfast. Check out was particularly disappointing. We were about 3 minutes late to check out which, while was on us, was met with extreme rudeness. Our room was telephoned incessantly to get us to leave. Multiple members of staff stood outside our room to force us out. And we were eventually escorted out the building, making us feel like criminals. To add insult to injury, our shoes (which we had to deposit on arrival) were soaked. In short, the hotel appeared to have multiple formal and informal rules and procedures which must be adhered to at all times. Which meant that an experience, which should have been inspiring, was actually quite unpleasant.
