The breakfasts were delicious! The room was cozy and we loved having hot coffee waiting outside the door each morning.

There was not a good way to get natural light in the room without losing all privacy.

We just checked out of The KirkHouse B&B, and we couldn't have had a better experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear just how much heart, meticulous planning, and hard work goes into keeping a place like this running so seamlessly. Managing an operation of this quality—maintaining the historic charm, spotless accommodations, and welcoming atmosphere—is no small feat, and it truly shows in every thoughtful detail. A huge stand-out of our stay was the breakfast experience. The chef was incredibly attentive, taking the time to ensure every guest was catered to with genuine warmth and phenomenal culinary skill. Starting the morning with such fresh, thoughtfully prepared food made the entire trip feel special. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with top-notch hospitality and incredible food, The KirkHouse is as good as it gets. We left feeling refreshed, well-cared-for, and already looking forward to our next visit!

The location of the Kirk House was perfect for us. We arrived earlier in the day and the owner/proprietor, Renee, allowed us to check in early and become comfortable with the Inn. Our accommodations were excellent, very comfortable bed, bathroom was a lot larger than hotels we have stayed in. The entire inn was very beautiful, historic, quaint, quiet, comfortable and inviting. Sean prepared the guests' breakfast each day and provided delicious cookies each afternoon. A basket with a full coffee pot, cups, sugar and cream was placed in front of our bedroom early each morning before breakfast. The inn was surrounded by beautiful color baskets of flowers and plants. After each day of exploring the island by both driving and walking, we enjoyed sitting outside on the veranda fully enjoying the surrounding beauty. We highly recommend the Kirk House to travelers looking for a comforting and affordable bed and breakfast experience in Friday Harbor.

We did not like the fact that we could not stay any longer than we had planned. Unfortunately we could only stay a few days, wished we could have extended our time on the island.
