Y Llew Bach, the tiny house

What a wonderful little house. Communication from the owners before and throughout our stay was excellent. We were visiting the nearby Zip World Betwys-y-Coed so this was an excellent base and you could use it to get to anywhere in beautiful Snowdonia. The ingenious detached property is cosy with a snug lounge and bathroom downstairs with fridge, toaster and coffee facilities plus bathroom and shower then upstairs is a lovely warm bedroom. We popped into the owners pub, The Lion Inn next door and were warmly welcomed and enjoyed a pint and a delicious home cooked pizza. The owners were even flexible on our check out time which was appreciated.

Nothing - all good.

I never had lived in a place next to a pub. Had a sight into local community pub culture. Enjoyed it. The house itself is small and cozy, host attentive to details and included multiple comfort items in the place. Kettle, fridge, microwave present. Comfort bed upstairs. Electric heater present, we used one because it was cold outside. Heater heated well so we didn't have any bad experience. No problems for us. We worried about if place is a bit remote, but road access appeared to be fine with 10 minutes to the main road.

There are not many windows, so place is a bit dark. Some more comfort warm lamps could help. But this was not a problem for us.

Cosy

Kept banging our heads and it would have been nice to have a microwave/mini hob as the pub was only open one night out of the 3 we were there

We liked the location, and the pub next door was great for food! Quite cosy considering the size.

The bed was very uncomfortable! Fred Flintstone would be right at home! Don't book if you're tall. Bang heads and knees constantly and difficult to get up the stairs if you have any degree of mobility issues/back issues.
