Apothecary Hall - Snowdonia

The flat was super comfortable and perfect to access a host of north Wales attractions. The flat was lovely and the Wifi was great. The kitchen was well stocked. The shower was amazing. I liked that there was a loo on both levels of the flat. The large window seat was fabulous for morning coffee watching the town wake up. I genuinely enjoyed staying there with my family.

Just to note the flat is up two significant flights of stairs. Hooks to hang towels in the bathrooms would be useful. While there was a parking outside the property it was a town one so not guaranteed to be open. On one day we did have to move the car about a bit due to parking restrictions. The sat nav will take you to the town square, the property is accessed from behind the square to the right of the hotel. Again just something to note.

It was convenient for the 2 day stay.

Finding the property was difficult and only managed it with the help of the local post office. On entrance to the property considering we both have mobility issues the three lots of stairs were definitely not suitable and we wouldn't have booked it had we known. The shower was over the bath and again a mobility concern and prior to the wedding we were attending we had difficulty switching off the shower and I did message the owner, however it was still running when we got back 12 hours later and with difficulty I managed to switch it off. On the stairs leading to the front door and to the bedrooms there was no holding rail and anyone with disabilities would have felt unsafe.

Great property with quirky decor. The teen really liked it which says it all!

Loud upstairs plumbing but not really a negative.

The property is decorated nicely and is about 30 minutes from major Snowdonia sights. Shops are nearby.

When booking, it said there was parking for the property- this is not the case. There is 6pm-6am parking in the square below which is quite inconvenient or a car park 5 minutes walk away which is £6.50 for 24 hours. If the parking situation has changed between booking and the time of arrival, we, as the customer, should have been informed. The property is not the lovely quaint old building by the river (as per main photo) but instead a building above a village square; with about 3 pubs that were open until 2am each night, there was a lot of outside noise (and not ideal for a noise reactive dog!). The instructions to find the property were very poor and resulted in me having to phone the owner. There was also no black out curtains in the bedrooms so lots of light would come in in the early hours. Toiletries like hand soap, were running very low, as well as apartment basics like salt in the kitchen. We also went to set up the sofa bed and noticed a lot of dirt/debris underneath. I don't think that the property was bad value but wish that the information was more honest when advertising.
