Spacious 4 bed Town House Swindon

Although advertised as "luxury" accommodation, this was certainly not the case, and the property bears no resemblance to the photographs on the booking.com website. The downstairs office space on the ground floor was very untidy with a badly stained carpet. The kitchen was generally unclean, especially in "out of sight" spaces like cupboards and drawers and in fact we spent 4 hours cleaning the kitchen so that we could feel comfortable using it, including washing all the cutlery and crockery. A significant amount of food had been left in cupboards and the fridge. The kitchen equipment for a four bed house was minimal. Eg no wooden spoons, cheese grater, kitchen scissors etc so we had to go out and purchase for ourselves. There was only one usable saucepan and frying pan, the others provided had handles missing and were therefore unsafe. Extremely poor drainage in two of the showers, the third floor shower being so bad that within 3 minutes water had gone under the door into the bedroom. Lamp in living room flickering. Glass front on bedside drawers in third floor bedroom broken and therefore unsafe, and handles also missing with screws prominent. Storage units in third floor bedroom chipped and generally in poor condition Bath panel in main bedroom held together with tape Only bath towels were provided, i.e no hand-towels. The towels provided were generally ‘tired’ and some were stained and had holes in them. The garden was untidy with piles of slates and clothes rails. It would not have been safe for any youngsters. No safety certificates or instructions left in the property. Overall, this property requires a significant upgrade for it to be worthy of being described as "Luxury"

The beds were very comfortable and we all slept really well

-There were loads of things that were broken i.e: the door handle, drawer handle, kitchen tap, the showers didn't drain, the shelves were falling off the walls were half painted, the sofa was sunken in the middle, the bath was held together with gaffer tape and many more. -It took the owners too long to get in contact (several days or hours) and the number listed is not connected to a network so it didn't work. -It's a town house which is not a problem but this was listed so we had a lot of stairs to encounter -The kitchen was so poorly stocked we had to buy stuff we needed, there was no sieve, no cork bottle opener, no chopping board and very few pot selections. -No additional pillows so we had to make do with cushions for those that needed more than one. -Nowhere to put recycling and nowhere was labelled for this. -One of the rooms was really dirty and had leftover stuff from previous guests. -The top floor had a low ceilin which wasnt labelled or highlight so we had a few head injures over the weekend Overall it was a mediocre experience but DEFINITELY NOT A LUXURY ACCOMMODATION

The access to the kitchen, lounge and 4 bedrooms was perfect for our needs, everyone having space to relax as well as coming together for meals worked really well. Great appliances that all worked well.

Not quite as luxurious as indicated - sadly the two en-suite showers need serious attention, they are prone to flooding due to blocked drains and there are a number of broken furniture items / shelving in the top bedroom. The carpets were not cleaned before arriving, not ideal when you have younger children!

Claimed to be ‘luxury’ four bedroom house It was not. 7 people booked in 5 towels provided, four wine glasses six forks and a mishmash of plates. Shower wastes all blocked due to lack of cleaning

Incredibly warm comfortable house! It was perfect for our business stay and we had more room than what we knew to do with! The beds were so comfortable, the fridge had milk in it, on arrival. The kitchen is well equipped although one of the pan lids didn't have a handle, but this is a minor point and didn't affect our stay. We will be booking again next year.

Bedrooms & bathrooms nicely decorated & clean.Kitchen well stocked. Nice outside space. Closeness to family friends who live in the area.

The carpet in one room was very stained. The lounge decor was ‘interesting’ - would benefit from a new lick of paint. As property is a town house it’s spread over 4 floors (- not ideal when we had a toddler & no stair gates). This perhaps should be mentioned in the ‘blurb’
