Great stay in a well located, clean , warm property. Ideal for large families or groups

The property is very spacious and well equipped - ideal for groups - with three bathrooms. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. It was very clean and warm. Location is brilliant … a ten minute walk to the station and about 15 minutes to town. In a quiet residential area. A movie was being filmed in the adjacent street which added to the excitement!

Nothing to dislike only comment would be that the lounge is functional rather than homely probably usually used as an extra bedroom with sofa beds. Plenty of additional seating in dining kitchen and conservatory

Comfortably accommodated eight of us, clean and tidy, with thoughtful items (shower items, salt, dishwasher tablets etc)

just everything about it was so easy and clear. the whole stay was just perfect and done so professionally . i couldn’t imagine anybody giving this property a bad review.

more space to park as some of our people were disabled and needed cars handy. with being able to hold such a large number of people you’d expect atleast space for 2-3 cars. but we worked it out and certainly wouldn’t let it be a downfall . we worked it out no problem

The location

The house was filthy, livingroom is too small for a group of 8. It is not accessible for disabled although they have lied about this in the description. There is a converted garage rented out in the garden which isn't mentioned in the description either, so is there planning permission? There are no blinds or curtains in the kitchen, bathroom or stairs, so you feel exposed when showering or going to the toilet with people living in the garden! Rubbish was found under a bed, previous guests belongings, leftover food in oven, dirty cloths & sponges showing it wasn't cleaned between rentals.

Location & we could put our pedal cycles inside in the conservatory for security.

Left hand side conservatory door (looking from the inside) could do attention to make it a bit easier to open. Maybe just needs a bit of oil on the latches. Top floor loo seat was loose & needs tightening up.

Fantastic location within easy walk of station and city centre . Great facilities for a family stay . Particularly impressed with the extra linen provided , and little extras like oil for cooking if needed

There are two properties on site, on the second night someone occupied the other property in the garden but didn't know where to go so we had to show them.

there were plenty of sofa beds to accommodate the family of 10 comfortably nice garden for the children to run around in and tv for them to watch great location as only a 10 min walk through the park or river bank

the living room could be a bit more comfortable for the grown ups to sit and watch tv but not a major problem we also had the conservatory or seats outside

Convenient, 10min walk to York Centre and clean and well appointed

Stayed at Peace House for my Hen Do. We arrived early (12pm). The cleaners were lovely and let us drop our bags off early. The house was clean and well appointed with kitchen stuff. Really nice stay. The house is so big inside. 5 bedrooms over 3 floors. Nice conservatory that backs on a garden and then fields behind. It was quiet and was about 10min walk into York. Thank you - would definitely stay again.

Exceptional holiday home in York.

Very easy to find the house - 8 minute walk from the station and about a 10 minute walk into the City, Sainsbury's. pubs and some shops within 0.5 miles. House was spotless and very spacious, bedrooms had blackout curtains - useful as it was very sunny, very early! Good kitchen. TVs in all rooms.

It would have been good to have some instructions on how to work the TV's.

In need of an update. Filthy windows and weedy outside areas. Not aware of shared outside area. Dust on skirting boards. Mould in bathrooms. Cleaners knocking to come in for bedding for adjoining property hence lack of privacy. Weeds growing in conservatory. Needs some proper TLC.
