Very roomy for small groups. Clean and Practical

Great kitchen and heating facilities. Shower a bit awkward but still good pressure. Host available to speak to. A lot of room though it must be cramped if more than about 6 people stay there. Tea and coffee provided was good

Bed a bit uncomfy. Getting in was a bit difficult as instructions slightly different from advance info. Same went for heating. Took a lot of figuring out

It only had 1 bathroom for 10 people that’s not great, and the bath/shower mixer really needs to be a proper shower. And could do with some maintenance on the property.

Disappointed

Location was amazing as was communication from the host.

It was extremely noisy until nearly midnight due to beer garden at rear of property. Oven / gas rings didn’t work so had to waste food items purchased for breakfast. Had to buy batteries as TV remote didn’t work. Dishes / cups in cupboards were dirty. Lots of cobwebs around. Superficially great but needs a deep clean.

Good location, nice property, ideal for groups visiting York

Beds were comfortable. House was clean and tidy. Great location, just a short walk from the centre and train station and lots of nice cafes and shops close by. We were allowed to check in early to drop our bags off which was brilliant and helped us out massively. The living area was a good space for us to all sit together as a group. Tea, coffee and milk provided was a nice touch.

One bathroom between 8 of us was a bit tricky but we managed. We couldn’t get the gas oven to work. It wouldn’t ignite without using a lighter and even then it didn’t work properly and there weren’t any instructions for it but there were for other appliances. We had brought a pizza to cook but ended up having to throw it away as we couldn’t get the oven to work properly and didn’t feel safe constantly putting the gas on to try get it to light properly.

I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone else.

The property had enough space for the group in the living space and in all the bedrooms.

There was not enough cutlery for the group. The house supposedly sleeps 12 but there was only 3 forks. The ignition on the oven didn’t work so we needed to use a lighter to light it in order to cook food. The oven would only light if enough gas built up which was extremely dangerous and unsafe. The were marks on the walls from decorations (blue tack, sellotape etc) from previous people. Only one black bin liner was left for us to use which wasn’t enough for the rubbish produced by 10 people. When we then went to put our rubbish in the outside bins there were already full. The kettle was full of limescale.

Run down student digs

The location was good, quite close to the centre and easy to access.. It was also clean and sufficient space for our needs.

Decor was poor, chunks of wall missing, iron burns on the carpet, run down and in need of a refresh. Also no dishwasher. Should have been one but was missing. Wifi password didn't work. One bathroom for 10 beds is also ridiculous and completely insufficient. No seating outside. What's the point of an outdoor space without seats. Wardrobes in rooms locked and inaccessible. What's the point in that? Finally lock on bathroom dodgy. People kept getting locked in.

Lovely little place.

For 7 of us we found we had plenty of room and managed to all work around using one bathroom. All the facilities we needed for a weekend. Easy to get in and out and in a perfect area for us

Family time in York

The location was really good, easy walking distance to everything 😃 no noise in the night, TV had login for all your stuff you use at home even Disney if you have kids, clean and tidy,

Car parking, we looked at all options and decided to park in the station car park which is a twelve min walk to the property and we left the car there for 2 days £22, so realistically parking was not an issue,

Great place to stay handy for the town.

It’s in a great location. We arrived hours early from the check in time but were allowed to drop our bags of. When we got back later that evening the cleaners had been in and they had put a lovely Xmas tree🎄 up. Which was a lovely touch. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Excellent location, lots of room and a lovely cosy living area. Check in and out was really easy and it had everything we needed.

The single beds were horribly uncomfortable! Like sleeping directly on springs. A mattress topper would make a huge difference to an otherwise excellent property

We are a group of middle aged and elderly ladies , there were very low bunkbeds in the property which were unusable for us so half of us had to leave. The second half left the next as there was no comfortable seating you could feel the wood under the sofa when you sat down, also no table and a very tiny kitchen, certainly not suitable for 10 people and the advertising is deceitful

Rooms were small. Very basic furniture and facilities. No freezer. Not enough room for everyone to sit down. No dining table. Tiny kitchen. Uncomfortable beds. Very expensive for what we received.

Having the house to ourselves to relax in the evening with friends. Location for station & city centre good. Some nice cafes on the road for breakfast. Ideal for a short break with friends.

The mattresses are not the best on the single beds. The one under the window, next to the fireplace was especially bad. I had to move to the double room as the mattress was so uncomfortable and that wasn't much better either. The inside of the bathroom door handle came off in my hand as soon as we arrived. I text and it was repaired when we returned to the property. Everything else was fine

Well located place close to all of the action.

Well located property, with a reasonable price tag. The house had all we needed for our stay, including kitchen, iron and ironing board. The house is located next to a thriving retail street, with cafes, bars and all of the groceries you could need.

The mattresses are due a refresh, the springs make them pretty uncomfortable to sleep on, but they were fine for the night we were there.

The initial key code we were given for the property didn’t work but this was resolved after we rang around, although this did end up being over an hour after we initially tried to get in. The upstairs mattresses were not very comfortable at all.

The overall quality was not good. It seems someone has just wanted to cram as many beds into what otherwise would be a small (bad quality) 2/3 bed terraced house in order to rake in as much money possible without worrying about finesse or class/ quality of stay other than appealing to large groups of people who what they presume are going to just get drunk and not bat an eyelid to their accomodation. I was also not aware of the damage deposit until the day prior and was simply just expected to pay it there and then. This better be refunded as we took extra precaution to ensure that nothing could be considering us damaging the property and we also noticed it upon arrival that there were many damaged areas/ imperfection marks all over the house as a whole. The only thing I recommend is to stay away from this property if you are wanting QUALITY over quantity in terms of number of guests.

Great! Just what we needed.

The house was perfect for our hen party of 9. The rooms were a good size and the living room had sufficient space for us all to sit and have a drink on the sofa. We were able to get an early check-in and found the lady answering the phone to be really helpful.

There wasn't a freezer so we couldn't chill our ice! Just a little thing which didn't impact on our stay much.

We stayed here for one night and it couldn’t have been more perfect for a short break for a group. the location is a very short walk into the town centre with lots of nice bars nearby. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. I would definitely recommend booking a stay here if you are visiting York as a group or larger family.

A great place to stay with a group of friends, plenty of room and all the facilities you need. Only a short walk into the centre.

Check out time is 10am which we thought was a little early, and we were not able to just leave our bags while we had a walk around until our train was due.
