Gorgeous cottage with a view to behold

Oh my goodness.. what a beautiful cottage and the views and setting are picture perfect! Inside is modern and lovely. We were really impressed with how stylish the cottage is. We arrived to beautiful sunshine and couldn’t believe the views from every aspect. Sitting out enjoying a drink on the perfectly placed garden bench with views a plenty. Inside you find two gorgeous bedrooms one up one down. Two great bathrooms with all the bells and whistles. We enjoyed the drive in and found no problem with the roads at all. You only need to take care. The host Margaret is wonderful too and a wow basket of goodies was left for us. Milk, butter and jams also… so kind. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful property! Spacious, sparkling clean, absolutely stunning quiet location, in lesser popular, but equally beautiful area of Skye. Well equipped, and a lovely welcome basket left for us. Thanks so much Margaret for a brilliant stay! Margaret was so kind in allowing us an early check in and very communicative throughout. She helpfully pre-warned us about the state of the roads in Skye, and we did actually get stuck in a pothole requiring being towed out! Please take care

Unfortunately the tumble drier didn't work so had to dry washing on upstairs radiators, not a huge issue though 🙂

Amazing and Serene ..

Our stay at the Ornum cottage was simply amazing. It’s a beautiful home with a serene scenery all around the cottage. Rooms were nicely decorated, and beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. Picnic table and benches on cottage lawn were perfect to enjoy the scenery and relax. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Margaret for being an exceptional host. She provided us with valuable advice regarding access roads and kindly left us a delightful gift basket along with delicious muffins. We would highly recommend this place and would like to stay here again.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. On arrival we found a basket filled with treats, such a lovely gesture. Nice kitchen to cook in. The house was very clean! We slept well and woke up by the sound of sheep and cows :) This side of the Isle is very beautiful! Just loved the area.

The house was perfect in every way. It was just like staying at a friends house. Exceptionally clean, well decorated, and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the remote setting, the scenery is breathtaking. The gift basket was a wonderful surprise. The bread and muffins were delicious! We would definitely stay here again!

For those from outside the UK, a note on how to lock the doors would be helpful. Luckily Google came to the rescue. Pull up on the handle, then you can turn the lock.

Communication and welcome from the host was fantastic. Cottage was superb - modern and clean and very spacious. Location was great as base for travelling around Skye. Cottage has been upgraded since photos. Lots of lovely little touches all around the place. Little wild rabbits were bounding around the garden which was lovely to watch.

Absolutely everything. Impeccably clean and cozy, unpretentious, light style. very comfortable facilities. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely view. Convenient location to get everywhere fairly easily but still felt private and off the beaten path. Host was accessible and attentive and responsive. Will definitely stay again!

The location was amazing, with a beautiful view of the water and surrounded by grazing sheep! Margaret provided a lovely welcome basket with baked goods and snacks, and her house guide provided excellent local recommendations. She was very responsive and lovely to communicate with. I wish we could have stayed longer! Would certainly return if we're ever in the area again.

Superb Family Cottage - Don't hesitate just book this place!

This cottage was exceptional and was our favourite 2 night stay during our 16 night journey at 11 different accommodations. The owner Margaret left the keys in the door for us so access was not an issue. The cottage is warm and welcoming and there was a lovely letter and welcome pack for us (milk, margarine, bread and marmalade). It is spacious and tastefully decorated. A perfect view and relaxing atmosphere. We all loved it and were especially taken with the fact that Margaret is a local who obtained the land from her father's croft just 50 yards away and who still lives there working his croft. The name of the Cottage "Ornum" is the reverse of the family name "Munro".

We liked the cleanliness and comfort of the cottage! The owner provided extra touches which we definitely appreciated. There was lots of information to look through on things to do and see in the area. It was very peaceful and relaxing staying here with views overlooking the ocean.

We should have booked one additional night at this cottage. We wish we could have spent more time here.
