Beautiful 3 bed apt in the City Centre

The apartment itself was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a self-catering stay. The interior was thoughtfully furnished, and we appreciated having a functional kitchen and a comfortable space to relax. Overall, the apartment itself has a lot to offer.

The neighborhood did not feel particularly safe, and during our stay an unhoused individual was sleeping in the stairwell outside the flat, There was also an issue with a broken couch that management was already aware of but was unable to repair until after our stay. To their credit, they responded quickly to our concerns, communicated well, and were professional throughout.

Die Kommunikation mit dem "Host" hat gut funktioniert. Der Schlüssel-Box-Code kam per Mail angekündigt und rechtzeitig. Die Wohnung war sehr geräumig und mit relativ neuen IKEA-Möbeln ausgestattet. Die Betten und Matratzen waren sauber und bequem. Der Zugang zur Wohnung ist über eine steile schedderige Treppe - von der Rückseite des Hauses - aus zu erreichen (also nicht barrierefrei). Der eigentliche Konflikt: beim Herauftragen der Koffer kann der Handlauf nicht benutzt werden, weil er an mehreren Stellen aus der Wand gerissen ist. Besonders gefährlich beim Hinuntergehen. Die gesamte Wohnung (Wände, Decken, Böden) erscheint erst vor Kurzem professionell instandgesetzt worden zu sein (schöner Stuck, angenehme Farbanstrich). Einzig allein sämtliche Holz-Fenster und -Türen bedürfen einer ähnlich professionellen Grund-Instandsetzung. Einzelne Fenster lassen sich leider gar nicht schliessen. Wird bei Regenwetter bzw. im Herbst und Winter zu weiterem Verfall durch die Feuchtigkeit führen. Das Ambiente der Wohnung ist aber sehr angenehm. Sie ist komplett und praktisch eingerichtet und ausgestattet. Einzig allein das hintere rechte Zimmer hat einen erheblichen Mangel: die im verstaubten Wandschrank installierte Heizungsanlage stört dort den nächtlichen Schlaf erheblich durch An- und Ausschalten der Anlage. Im Übrigen - trotz Beschreibung - nicht einfach, die ausgeschaltete Anlage dann live in Betrieb zu nehmen (Wasserhahn zum limitierten Auffüllen des Wasserkreislaufs). Die Heizung selbst funktioniert aber einwandfrei, so dass sich alle Heizkörper schnell erwärmen. Das offene Fenster im Wohnzimmer sollte nicht sein. Den Gastgeber haben wir nicht kennengelernt, Trotz präventiver Ankündigung war zum Glück kein Servicepersonal in der Wohnung zum kurzen Deponieren der Bettwäsche für die Folgegäste. Haben und hätten wir nicht gut gefunden.

Professionelle Tischlerarbeiten an allen Fenstern und Türen dringend erforderlich! Die Heizungsanlage sollte dringend überholt werden, da nachts recht laut und den Schlaf unterbricht. Auch schadet das Innen-Reinigen des Heizungsschrankes nicht. Könnte eigentlich das Reinigungspersonal (regelmäßig) machen-

Convenient location within easy walking distance to the city centre. The flat itself is spacious, reasonably comfortable and fairly well equipped. There were 5 of us but we literally just needed it as a base for bed and breakfast for the Commonwealth Games.

The outside and access to the property does not create a great first impression and the smell of cannabis in the staircase (and inside the flat itself- thro an open window into stairwell) was overwhelming on arrival and again on most evenings when returning. The garden area is overgrown, the path to the rubbish bins is made up of overgrown broken/loose bricks which are very slippery in the wet. The hand rail in the steep staircase is not secured to the wall and will no doubt lead to an accident at some point. The flat itself makes a good first impression but was let unfortunately let down by overall cleanliness. An accumulation of dust/debris behind & underneath furniture is not ideal but not a deal breaker on its own but the bathroom was unacceptable. The shower had not seen a deep clean in a long time and the trap was dirty and full of stagnant dirty water. The sink did not drain and when the plug cap was removed the visible blockage and the smell was utterly revolting. The floor was dirty & huge blob of congealed blue toothpaste was stuck to the door! The kitchen drain also smelled tho it did eventually drain-albeit slowly! The dish draining rack was also filthy & very unhygienic. The heating/hot water/boiler was not in operation on arrival - notice that it had been switched off and needed resetting and information on how to do so from the outset would have been helpful! The boiler cupboard is pretty dirty (again it has been mentioned in previous reviews but not cleaned since) and not great for allergy sufferers! The windows & their woodwork(mentioned in previous reviews) are still dirty. The rental staff are very responsive in their defence but the poor girl who was dispatched to deal with our sink arrived woefully ill equipped, with her baby in tow and under extreme time pressure to get to her next flat - in the end we had to help her and buy the necessary to clear the worst.
