Good hotel, but no WIFI in room.

There was no WIFI in the room during our stay (5 days). Mrs Ashlynn, manager of front office, informed from first day that WIFI would be restored and a technician would be called in to fix the problem.I brought the issue up every day (4 days) without any result. There was WIFI on the desk in reception.

We booked a suite with a balcony and view of the harbour area and on arrival our room 104 view was a wall and bushes so we were very disappointed Asked if they could move us but could not for Friday evening After complaining again on Saturday they moved us to 118 a corner unit with beautiful views which we loved and enjoyed Thanks for a lovely lady Dee for helping us with move to new room with a view

Professional, clean, comfortable - everything you'd expect from a high quality hotel. The art gallery is also a nice touch to give the hotel lobby some life and not stale or 'clinical'. The views on both sides of the hotel (one overlooking sea and mountain) and the other side the marina, is very beautiful.

The outdoor parking area should be beautified - it looks a bit grimey. While it is not part of the hotel (it is public space), it is the first place that you see when you arrive and check in at the hotel.

lovely views and modern hotel

Clean modern rooms. The restaurant food was outstanding.

first room we got overlooked pool, almost on same level so people on pool deck could see into our room, and a dirty flat roof as a view (room 303). The staff moved us the next day to 332. The Nescafe coffee machine does not work. Toilet seats in both rooms cheap and almost broken off. First room one chair on patio! All balconies are supposed to have 2 chairs and a table. Our friends in 404 had nothing! Second room had this. Second room shower almost floods the room because of bad levelling on tiles! Managers need to check the rooms more thoroughly for the problems listed above.

Our room was lovely and spacious. Good sea views and spacious balcony. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast can be better ito taste and variety. Sausages were dry and not edible. But the rest of the food was tasty. We had a lovely room, but quite noisy in the mornings just outside our room.. Its right in the front of the hotel, I would rather book a harbour view next time. Also, we arrived late afternoon at the hotel on the Sunday and because they let the staff off earlier, the pool area was being cleared up around us which made us feel like we need to leave even though the sun was still up and we could enjoy the last rays as they just closed the umbrellas so we had to lay on the lounger in the sun.

Fantastic location and good spacious rooms. Comfortable bed . Halal chef was very polite and made pleasant omelette .

Didn’t vacuum my room after I spoke to the cleaner, I even called the reception twice and they assured me it would be done . It wasn’t. The next day they didn’t vacuum again. Very disappointing. There were not enough towels at the pool, after I requested 2 , they brought one as said this is all they have .the pool area wasn’t full , so this lack of organization and help was very unpleasant. At breakfast the chef making the pancakes was very un- mannered at treated my wife as if she was a kid. Ignoring her greeting and being very dismissive. Also , there was a dead cockroach in my closet.

Mom's 80th Surprise Weekend

The room was spacious with a great view of the ocean. Breakfast was awesome. The sweet treats made me feel like a kid. What a nice touch for both adults and kids. Room Service portions a huge. Definitely worth the money. Will definitely be back during the year.

The area was quiet and clean. It was tranquil and views were beautiful. We especially liked the harbour area where we could watch the boats coming in and out. The ocean view did not disappoint!

Stunning hotel, excellent location, needs so work done and training

The views are amazing! The location is great, very central. The buffet breakfast has a huge delicious variety and the restaurant’s food is great! The restaurant staff are amazing. Especially Akona. They offer a good variety of wines and cocktails. Even though the cocktails are on tap, they are nice. We did have an issue with a drain in our room, but they moved us the next day to an upgraded & stunning room. Staff are very friendly.

There is a lot of maintenance items that we noticed that needs to be tended too. The hotel’s age is also showing in public areas. Our first evening’s romantic turndown wine and snacks were already in the room apon arrival at 5pm. When arranging it, I asked for it to specifically be part of a turndown, which happens at night after supper. After breakfast on the first day, our room still wasn’t cleaned eve though we were out for 2 hours, until 11am. Their reason was that they are busy with arrivals. I come from hospitality myself, and this and a few other things are not in line with a 4 star property. Our new room had numerous light bulbs that were blown. On the balcony the one light was loose and blown, the other one flickered. There were loose nuts on the balcony and the pool wasn’t clean. Phoning for towels or ice for example but having to phone again to ask. 1 x gown in the bedroom instead of 2. No pool towels in the pool suite. The tv channels aren’t very clear either. The main pool is extremely cold, and heater would be great there. And as great as the restaurant is, the bar at the main restaurant is very slow and we were served by a guy who couldn’t get the ratio of drink right, after already waiting 15 minutes.

Property has a nice location on the beach not too far from Cape Town and is a perfect base to explore Cape Town and all it has to offer, and the meal options are great.

Although the property is clean and neat it is showing signs of its age, but it is definitely not a deal breaker.

Disappointed

I stayed at the hotel a week ago and was quite disappointed by my check-in experience. I arrived at 1 p.m., knowing that check-in was officially at 2 p.m., but I kindly asked the lady at reception if there was any possibility of checking in a little earlier. I explained that I had an event at the hotel starting at 2 and needed time to do my makeup and get ready. She assured me that she would do her best to find a room and check if early access was possible. However, she never came back to update me not to confirm nor to say it wasn’t possible. Instead, she showed us to an area where we could sit and do our makeup. About 10–15 minutes later, another staff member from the front desk approached us about being there, even though we had been given permission. That interaction felt unnecessary and uncomfortable, especially as it’s not a guest’s responsibility to sort out staff communication issues. By 2:05 p.m., we still didn’t have a room, and I eventually had to insist on being allocated a key, even though the event had already begun. I found it unreasonable that the room wasn’t ready even shortly before the official check-in time especially since I had offered to pay an extra fee for early access. Overall, I felt poorly accommodated and quite disappointed by the lack of communication and consideration shown. Candice Lynn Warner

Great stay but needs some tweaks to be perfect!

I loved the friendly staff, the lovely breakfast and the general feel of the hotel

The window in our bedroom could not close properly, we found it open just a tiny bit. We tried to close it but it could not lock. We therefore had some noise and airflow entering the room all night. We were going to mention it the next day but our trip was cut short due to a death in the family and we had to leave immediately even though we still had another night booked. Also the glass top of the lounge table still had a cup stain as well as the little coffee station counter top. Grout in the bathroom also doesn't look that clean but overall a lovely stay as always. Thank you.

Although the hotel is on the outskirts of Cape Town I think it is well situated to get around.

I stayed for one night, and the room was clean, neat, and big. I was able to use their restaurant, as well as go for a walk around the area. It's well situated, with a restaurant serving good food, and the view from the room was pretty nice, offering a nice view of the bay.

The TV is dated and lacks screen-sharing capabilities, and it also appears to have dots, which made it difficult to watch, so I was unable to use my Netflix, etc. Ended up using my computer.

The room was incredibly spacious with a modern setup, featuring a glorious bathroom. It felt clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight—an awesome buffet with tasty, fresh options that kept us energized for the day. We had a view on the swimming pool. I absolutely loved the prime location right on the marina, which meant easy walks to restaurants and the beach, plus the friendly staff and lovely on-site pool added to the relaxed vibe

Not a big issue, but breakfast starts from 07h00 which is a bit late if you have 08h00 meetings in Stellenbosch or Cape Town CBD.

Great room, view and buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly. Just don't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel reataurant, that was a huge dissappointment.

The hotel restaurant's a la carte meals are not up to standard, unfortunately. Seems they are more geared to cater for buffet.
