Lovely house and very spacious

It was chilly in the house but that is common in this area at this time of year.

Dom był bardzo przestronny i czyściutki. Wszystko idealnie przygotowane do pobytu łącznie z wyposażeniem kuchennym i rzeczami do spania, pralką. Był nawet kominek, który również był przydatny w chłodniejsze i mokre wieczory. Kontakt z właścicielami bardzo dobry, nie mieliśmy problemu z dojazdem. Dom bardzo zadbany, niczego nie zabrakło. Bardzo miłym gestem było wino i przekąski na powitanie. Jesteśmy pod wrażeniem. Sao Vicente to urokliwe, spokojne miasteczko i było bardzo dobrą bazą wypadową w różne części wyspy. Jest większy sklep, w którym można robić zakupy do późna. Są też restauracje i wyjątkowy klimat. Było pięknie ! Dziękujemy, że ten dom był częścią naszej wizyty na Maderze. Bardzo polecamy !

Ligt centraal waardoor je te voet naar de supermarkt kun. Fijne, grote supermarkt! Fijn dat er een oven is en wasmachine. Zeker met het regenachtige weer, wat wij hadden, zodat je je wandeling kleding kunt wassen. Er was een openhaard zodat je het behaaglijk kunt maken. Fijne douche. Er stond een welkomspakket klaar en de hostess reageerde goed op berichten. Alles was goed geregeld. Mooie omgeving.

Het is donker en vochtig binnen. De lucifers kreeg je gewoon niet aan. Het viel dus niet mee om kachel aan te krijgen. Verlichting is niet sfeervol. Het weer in april was te koud om buiten te zitten. We misten een kapstok om onze jassen aan op te hangen.

The location is awesome. You have everything you need near the property. Continente is a 5-minute walk away, and the beaches are nearby. You get the whole house and don’t share it with anyone else - that’s nice. A working fireplace, Jacuzzi, washing machine, stove, and oven are nice additions. The driveway next to the house has a gate - that’s very nice too.

There was no cot for my son to sleep in, despite having asked for it and having it approved beforehand. The property owners ignored my message regarding the issue. It is a solid house, but it kind of feels like it doesn’t want you to live in it. It’s cold, it’s humid, and it’s not comfortable. It’s a house where you don’t want to take your shoes off. The beds are uncomfortable and creaky, and the doors are super loud (and everything is loud in this house). The lock for the main door is barely functioning. The lock for the garden gate is broken, and the remote for the driveway gate is broken too, requiring 10 random presses on random unmarked buttons on its 64-year-old plastic shell to open or close the gate. The coffee machine is broken, and the cups and glasses are mismatched—imagine 4 people drinking wine from 3 different types of glasses. The water pressure is often very low, and the bidet is clogged. It’s fine for a temporary stay, but I wouldn’t want to spend more than a couple of days in that place.
