Refugio Catanho

The apartment is pretty close to the center of town and the big grocery store (walking distance). Parking on the street was no problem. The hosts were very nice and responsive. The apartment was nice and we appreciated the two bathrooms with toilets.

Just a note that there are two roads with the same name so google maps may take you to the wrong road higher up on the mountain. We met some people that guided us to the correct address. There are mosquitoes.

La casa es grande y hay parking gratuito al lado. Por cierto, hay una ruta cerca (PR 16 Levada Faja do Rodrigues) que está muy bien aunque si eres claustrofóbico no vayas. 1 km de túnel que se hace largo.

El pueblo es muy pequeño, con pocas cosas para hacer

Spacious apartment with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and well equipped kitchen few minutes walk from the coast and parking possible in front of the house on the street.

Unfortunately as this was the most expensive accomodation during our Madeira stay, we were facing lot of ants immediatelly once leaving even glass from some sweet drink on the sink. The owner was really willing to help and fix this so sent also technician to spray the affected areas but this didn't help. The other thing is was the smell of old house in 2 from 3 bedrooms what could be solved by opening the windows.

Het was een goede uitvalsbasis en het appartement was ruim

De douche was erg slecht er kwam bijna geen water uit. Hierover hebben we de eerste dag de host benaderd maar we kregen pas 4 dagen later op de dag van uitchecken reactie. Ook zijn de bedden kort en de matrassen niet comfortabel. Ook een aantal kleinere zaken hadden beter gekund, denk aan een groter wasbak in de badkamer boven en dikkere gordijnen op de slaapkamers.
