Fantastic l.ocation to visit Castleton and take advantage of the country walks close by, parking was a real bonus too. Host was friendly and made sure we were comfortable. Room as a very good size, bed was comfortable and there was plenty of team/coffee etc provided. Bathroom was a decent size too. Good standard of cleanliness, warm and cosy room. Short walk to the cafes, pubs and shops.
Nothing really, just personal preference to prefer a walk-in shower rather than over the bath - otherwise could not fault Ramblers Rest - we would stay again.

Location and the young lady whom helped us when we tried booking in Gave me some names / locations to eat & drink - very helpful
On the website it stated that a welcome box was provided. This was not received Not sure if it states on the website or not - but we were there 3 days, our room wasn’t checked, cleaned nor our towels changed Had to ask for more milk (for tea and coffee) we ran out again but felt like it was an inconvenience to ask for more

The Ramblers Rest is fine but pretty basic and not great value for money. Breakfast should be included
