It was central to the idyllic town, fantastic food and cozy local pub experience.
We were there on a very hot day, and the rooms do not really accommodate for that. But it was part of our experience! 👌🏻👌🏻

Good central location in Castleton, convenient for a short stopover, and the pub itself has character. Staff were friendly enough and it is clearly very dog-friendly, which will suit some guests.
This is really more a pub with rooms than a hotel. The room was adequate but had a noticeable dog smell, probably because the property is so dog-friendly. The main problem was the skylights: they had no blinds or curtains, so in June the room became bright from around 4.30am, making proper sleep difficult.
