Casa Cleo

Our Host was kind, considerate, and charming. She spent time telling us about things to see in the area and the good restaurants in Rione Monti. The room was quiet and comfortable and the bathroom spacious and elegant. It was a pleasure to spend time with this excellent Host. Marleen

I was very pleasantly surprised to find this lovely, spacious, comfortable, and clean hotel on the Via Cavour in Rome just about 4 blocks from the Santa Maria Maggiore. The building in which it's located with ugly stairwell did not prepare me for what I found within: a friendly, helpful reception and a perfectly comfortable room with a large, firm bed and a large, new, sparkling-clean bathroom. As you will see if you read reviews about hotels in Rome, it can be difficult to find rooms with their own temperature control, working Wi-Fi, hot water in the shower, good water pressure, etc. The Casa Cleo has it all, plus complimentary coffee and hot tea, all for a good price. I will definitely book a room at Casa Cleo again when I return to Rome. Grazie per tutte le vostre gentilezze!

The guest house owner is just fantastic! I’m a big worldwide travelers. I came from LA and my bestie from Paris. He recommanded us all the good spots to visit and eat and was fun! Most importantly, he allowed us to leave our luggages on check out date in his office but let me tell you what happened besides that! After we left the hotel with our luggages and made our way to the bus station (10’ walk) to go to the airport, i realized I forgot my phone in his office!!! I obviously panicked because we were already in the bus ( paid) to go to the airport and our fight was leaving in 2 hours. The time for us to get out of the bus and try to figure out an option with taxi (56$ when traffic to FCO) to get my phone back.., I turn around and see Agusto with my IPhone 8!! This man made his way to the bus station ( leaving his son behind) just to make sure I don’t stress and leave without my phone!!! How honest and considerate is that! I almost cried! He went out of his way for us with everything needed and this deserves a 10/10!! I recommande this place, extremely well located! Cheap and 5-7 mins’ walk to Colosseo/ Roman forum and Subway! 10/15 mins walk to Termini train/ main bus station and plenty of bars/ restaurants/ convenient and gift shops all around! The only thing is that elevator is on second floor and bathroom are tiny but for the prices it’s really not a big deal! I totally recommend this place, go for it and spend your money on activities! :-) Thank you Augusto!!!
