We stayed in the junior suite, and it was wonderful. The room was big, and the view of the city was beautiful. We also liked the breakfast, where you have a big variety of different food options, and the staff is very friendly. We also enjoyed being in the sea spa area, which is accessible within the hotel. We will definitely come back.

Hotel staff are very very friendly, polite and helpful. The room facing to the sea is also great. Big shower cubicle and separated toilet was great too. But we had one problem with the aircon. It was stuffy night and quite humid but no aircon was working after 8pm. The sea breeze was nice and cool so we were adviced to open the window. Please don’t get me wrong, the staff who spoke to us was very apologetic and politely explained the hotel policy the reason why the aircon was turned off at 8pm and it wasn’t his fault at all. Anyway, we opened the window then the little flies/mosquitoes were gathering on the ceiling. My husband had to use tissues to kill them all. That wasn’t present at all but otherwise I will rate 10/10. Like I mentioned the beginning, all staff were welcoming us and gave us superb service. I have to mention that the breakfast buffet was nice as there were plenty of choice and all waiters and cooks gave us a great service. The location was perfect. Nice beach walk and easy access to Piran. If you want to visit Škocjan cave, it is easy drive. As we chose to visit Slovenia in off peak season, the beach side was very quiet but I am sure it will be lively and fun atmosphere in summer. Although we had an aircon problem in the off peak season, we would love to come back and stay at Hotel Slovenia without a doubt.

I booked the junior suite because of the great photos on the website. I was looking for a great sea view, a nice spa area and great service. Well i got none of them... Guy at the Check-in was unfriendly and kind of snootily and so i didn't feel very welcomed. Got one room on the first floor, means that you don't really have the "sea-view" you're paying for. Besides of that the suite was clean but nothing special at all. After this first disappointment, i wanted to give the hotel an other chance and went to the "spa area". Well, what should i say... There are two different pools, one is directly in the hotel and was super crowded, the other one is in the hotel next to the hotel Slovenia (long walk through several hallways!) and is also more a public pool and not a 5* Wellness/Spa area. What a failure! The breakfast had a good selection but you shouldn't have to carry your coffee at your table by yourself in a 5* hotel... Cleaning ladys that try to enter the room 35 minutes before the check out/waiting in front of the room are an other big no go...

Great hotel, very modern, lots of amenities, although the sign is misleading. The hotel that says "Mind Hotel" isn't this one, this one is actually Slovenija Hotel, about 60 meters away from the Mind Hotel (same owner though). Very good location, clean, big comfortable room with balcony, no complaints, great value! Although, when we tried to pay with Amex they claimed our card was "denied" but eventually admitted that their system was broken. Went next door to their sister hotel and was able to pay with Amex for our stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely hotel with great facilities. I found you didn't have much choice of tea and coffee facilities in our room and our bin in the bathroom hadn't been emptied, but that being so we still enjoyed our visit very much.

The pools and outdoor area were amazing, breakfast was very good and quite a huge variety, lots of facilities. Room size was nice and big with big balcony and bathroom had separate bath and shower and toilet was private as well. Clean and spacious .

Lovely alternative to the pricey Kempinski next door. Very modern and comfortable rooms plus within the Therme complex. My only criticism is regarding the Bistro Tapas restaurant: far too limited menu for light meal, salads for example and quality average. Also the waiter was not so nice as the other staff on the hotel side.

Comfortable and classy, with shared facilities among neighbouring hotels allowing this hotel to be a whole resort in one package. Parking was cheap at €5/night.

The experience was phenomenal thanks to hotel Slovenia. The room was incredible and the staff at the front desk and istran restaurant were amazing. Literally my only complaint would be our waiter at the buffet dinner that was included with our stay. He was quite rude and short with us. So much so that we skipped our last dinner to avoid him and ate at the Istran bar downstairs. Which was actually an incredible meal so I highly recommend checking it out for lunch. That waiter in the buffet needs to work on his social skills.

Best luxury hotel in portoroz. Renovated in 2016 and looks like new. Entirely central. One of the best breakfast buffets I have ever seen. You won’t have any issues here. Highly recommend. Chairs and umbrella on beach at no extra cost.

The hotel has been open for 2 months and is located as part of the Lifeclass Hotels just across from the beach. The rooms are nice, the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is buffet style and presents a variety of different choices. The coffee can be ordered at the table but what we received was inconsistent depending on who took the order. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and tries to please. Our car was valet parked across the street.I liked the shampoo and conditioner, etc that was provided. The bathroom had a very nice bathtub but now glass wall to prevent the water from getting all over the place. Something to consider. I also would have appreciated a coffee maker in the room to enjoy a morning coffee on the balcony.Staying at the hotel gives you access to the Medusa Exclusive Beach - however, you still have to look for your chair, and if you don not reserve it early in the morning you will not be able to enjoy a space in the exclusive area but have to move to other parts of the beach. As several hotels share the beach it gets very crowded.

The room was large by European hotel standards. The hotel only provides one large metal key for each room rather than multiple electronic card keys that are more commonly used. This makes it difficult if multiple people are sharing a room and coming and going at different times. No pools towels are provided. Bring your own or pay a 4 euro fee

Hotel is nice and comfortable. Room was very small as we had a room for 4. Pool was closed for maintenance and that should've been communicated. This is high season and we have two kids wanting to use the pool as that is one of the reasons we chose this hotel. Portoroz is a nice city and the people around there were extremely nice.
