We stayed overnight, the staff on reception was so welcoming. We are in the onsite restuarant which was fantastic. We did not have breakfast as we wished to go to the front (which was nearby) and take a stroll before our journey home,
Would definitely recommend. Room was only basic room but had everything we needed, comfortable bed.

Room and bathroom was dirty,

Staff are wonderful, very polite and keen to help. Only slight moan is that our bedroom was on the cold side and the shower was luke warm with poor flow. Otherwise very clean, comfortable bed, well equipped room.

all good

The room was nicely decorated.
Room heating was impossible to operate, even the towel rails. Despite setting all radiator thermometers to maximum, the heating came on only for about 2 hours during my stay.
All breakfast options were unhealthy other than porridge. The porridge was nice but came with no additions - no fruit, nuts etc., just a bowl of porridge It was not worth a full breakfast cost of approx. £9.
Staff were friendly and professional.

Nowherein the adverton this hotel does it say that there are renovations going on. we were traveling around the country and we realised Felixstowe would be our next stop. So booked through Exspedia. We cheched in about 3 pm , realised there was a skip outside but thought nothing of it. We returnrd to the hotel to watch the Rugby world cup about 8pm. There was alot of noise coming from either above us in the loft or the roof to thr side. It sounded like ducting was being draged about and fitted together. After an hour i went down to reception, i asked when the building work would stop as it was very noisy in our room
( 216) There isnt any going on she said , i assured her there was and she said she would check and get back to me. 5 minuteslater my mobile rang and the same receptionistasked if i was Mr Jackson and when would i be checking in. I said i have and i have just spoken to you !! Oh she said it says here you have not checked in yet. Nothing about the building work , the noise carried on till exactly 10 pm . Reception did not ring back nothing was said in the morning ,so here i am . Room was obviouslynext on the list to be renovated. tired ,mould on the mastic around the bath. The room was small with a 3/4 size bed . Not in my opinion worth the £140 we paid for it . very disappointed

It was a hot day and I couldn't open the windows because thay were painted shut!
The receptionist did, however, give us a fan.
There was no lift.
The ceiling had been poorly repaired/re decorated.
The shower had no water pressure and probably needed de scaling.
The curtains were very good a blocking out light.
There was no outside traffic noise.
Good selection of tea and coffee. Hot chocolate would've been good.
More milk would've been better also.
Overall for the area I don't think its worth the money.

Overall a lovely stay. Room would benefit from air conditioning though as was incredibly hot which made it difficult to sleep. Would however definitely recommend the hotel for a visit to Felixstowe.

This is when you can literally see corners being cut everywhere. It’s started with the door to our room that had a crack so wide all the light from the hall flooded in. The window was painted open, the bathroom tiling had been done so quickly all the grout was cracking, the bathroom door had a 2 inch gap underneath it and the bed moved on its coasters every time you moved. The walls were paper thin and you could literally hear every word spoken in the next room so 2 nights of the worst sleep we have ever had. It was awful. £386 for that too

Its had a bit of a make over since its best western days but the walls are still paper thin and antiquated. Shower/bath is hot and powerful which is a start.

Hotel looked lovely on approach and the decor inside was also very nice. Female receptionist was rather miserable and clearly didnt want to be there however the male receptionist was lovely and so friendly. Room was very nice however bed not that comfortable and the bathroom floor wasnt that clean and hair and cobwebs where noticed. Lovely big warm fluffy towels after a nice shower was great. Personally think £155 for a nights stay without breakfast was expensive, but i guess your paying for the name. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and drinks in the bar owned by the hotel was also very nice. staff in the bar and restaurant were very good and attentive however there was a mix up with wheelchair access

Booked at the last minute - far exceeded expectations! Immaculate condition, the room was gorgeous, staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. I also tend to sleep terribly at hotels but the bed and room were SO comfy. Will definitely be my go-to on future trips to Felixstowe- thank you!

The hotel was not finished to a good standard

Room was very comfortable, fittings wise but as it was South facing it was hot all the time and there was no aircon or fan. Breakfast very good, didn't have evening meals. Bar was very good with an excellent range of spirits. Staff were all friendly and attentive. The hotel had just been taken over by Marco Pierre White and not all rooms (ours included) had been fully refurbished. It will be interesting to see what room prices will be in future as I would definitely return

The hotel is currently going through refurbishment with freshly decorated rooms and a new fancy restaurant (MPW) being installed.
Despite this my room was lovely, spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and in particular the young chap serving breakfast.
Apparently the day I checked out was going to be closure for three weeks whilst works continue. I'm sure when everything is finished it'll be an even nicer hotel.
Well done to the staff and management for continuing to provide good service and rooms during the refurb.

Upon arrival the gentleman who signed me in was super friendly and considering he was relatively new to the job his customer service was excellent. The issues started at around 1 am in the morning when I was woken by (and I’m not quite sure how to phrase this) but a couple in a nearby room enjoying some alone time! To say the walls were paper thin is an understatement. In addition to this and at around 1:30am a load of drunken louts descended on the hotel knocking each others doors, having extremely loud conversations and being all round annoying and disrespectful to other residents. Finally the fire alarm was a constant through out a period of time. I could t work out of it was the drunken idiots setting it off or not but either way it was annoying and meant that I got Betty little sleep. The hotel itself is currently having works done. The room was very clean and fresh. The mattress however was rock solid. I would stay here again but with the hotel not having 24 hour manned front desk it means that the guests are free to do as they please and no one to call raise concerns.
