Really off the beaten track, cosy and comfortable.

Lovely old building in a beautiful location, very comfortable beds, beautiful walks on the doorstep and extremely helpful hosts.

Because the property is surrounded by trees it is quite shaded so some brighter lighting inside would be helpful for reading, games etc, but not a huge problem.

It is very carefully & thoughtfully designed and furnished , so comfortable , spacious, cosy and welcoming with a delightful atmosphere . It is well - named as the Drover’s Retreat , a perfect escape from the hustle & bustle of life. Carolyn and Bob are such kind & helpful hosts , comforting to know that they are nearby.

A lovely place to get away from it all.

The property had everything we needed during our stay and Bob and Carolyn were friendly and helpful. They put out some homemade flapjacks and some homemade apple juice which was a lovely touch. The games in the barn (table football, pool, darts) were really useful for our two boys and they kept themselves entertained which was really handy.

Lovely location, cottage was warm & welcoming and every need was catered for.

Minor points - better storage in the twin bedroom, as had no where to hang clothes.. also shower over bath i would have preferred a walk in shower as struggle with hip .

A little gem

Wonderful cottage in a peaceful setting with lots of walking options from the front door. Very comfortable, clean and fully equipped accommodation. Great for dogs. The kids loved the attached games barn! Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful location and the barn is out of this world its just what u want from this kind of place. Bob was great very friendly and his wifes flapjack is one of the best things ive ever tasted, absoloutly delicious. I highly reccomend people looking for a getaway and a taste of the welsh countryside to consider the drovers retreat.. top notch throughout..👍

Fantastic

The hosts were fantastic, they had lit the log burner ready for our arrival with home made flapjacks and Apple juice waiting. The barn was a dream, very clean and well presented and so comfortable. The games room was such a bonus our 3 children had a blast here, we honestly didn't want to leave.

There was nothing we disliked.
