It was unique. Centrally located to everything. Loved the live plants.

Because of bars on the first floor and top floor, it is very loud on the weekend. A great place for younger people.

The location was perfect. We loved the Cococabana bar on the rooftop and the Stone Grewing tap room out back.

Wish the rooftop bar was open mid week. It's only open Thurs thru Sun. We usually travel Mon thru Thurs.

Really cool old building.

Great location for downtown Oceanside. The only downside was the parking, and the fact that the building is really old, so you can hear everything. Absolutely beautiful though, and very well taken care of.

The fan thing above the bed drove me insane, we couldn't get the temperature in the room right. Also, I don't know if I love being locked in the building without any office people for help. We knew that going in though, and it's just our personal feelings. The place really was awesome.

The hotel had major cool factor because of style and location. Ease of check-in/check-out was a plus too!

Wonderful accommodations located in the heart of downtown Oceanside.

Centrally located to numerous restaurants and points of interest, including the Oceanside Pier. We brought two electric bicycles with us and didn’t want them left on the back of our truck while parking overnight. I called before our arrival and spoke with Hope, who promised me that she would do her best to find a safe and secure place to store the bikes during our stay. She ultimately met us at the front of the hotel as we pulled in and personally showed us where to put the bicycles. Absolutely wonderful and professional service. The hotel itself was nicely appointed and very clean. I can see us making The Brick our go-to destination when visiting Oceanside in the future.

rooms are very nice, bright and modern. comfortable bed. I really liked the vibe. location is perfect for restaurants and beach.

coffee station in lobby was messy at around 8-9AM and partly out of materials. no staff, hence no opportunity to request materials. would have much preferred in room coffee option. despite in room posted reminder to guests to be quiet, late nighters were quite noisy, thus was woken up several times.

Our stay was "medium". Partially the rain is to blame.

The location of the hotel is excellent. The view from the 3rd floor was enjoyable (even though it rained while we were there). The staff is super friendly and very thoughtful. The shower was very nice and I liked the shower head. I also liked the spacing and layout. It has motion sensor lighting which is quite handy at night. (Unfortunately the lights go off if you are in the shower! But if you gently slide the shower door they pop back on! :)) I liked the digital checkin and checkout. Very handly device on the wall. A nice touch and user-friendly. I liked the digital locks too.

I recommend the hotel consider adding a couple chairs inside the room. There is no place to sit! I personally found the bed somewhat uncomfortable (a bit "hard"). I would also recommend adding kleenex tissues (there were none) and possibly additional hooks in the bathroom for hanging your towel. It's rather sparse. The one thing I did not like is the noise.... you can hear the conversations in the room next to you and if you are on the 3rd floor you can hear the bar attendees (only until 10p though). The parking is not terribly convenient (but understandable). It is a block or 2 away on the 5th floor outside.

The room itself is really nice- everything seemed fairly new, very clean, beautiful sliding doors to the ocean view- nice! The biggest problem was the bar above. Every footstep, music beat, cheering, etc was heard so clearly from the room. Ask to be on the second floor, third floor was not good for this reason.

Storing luggage turned out to be very problematic and could not be managed without having to make several international calls. This despite having let the staff know about it beforehand. What was promised was not kept -- repeatedly. This property has no staff on property and everything works (or does not) by email and text messages. Had this been clear when I made the booking, I would have chosen another hotel.
