Pearl Oceanic Resort - Trincomalee

Great location — remote, away from the town, with almost a private beach. The resort was clean and simple. The food was great with enough choices for vegetarians and vegans. The view from the room was spectacular. The staff was extremely helpful and kind.

A lovely quite resort in the middle of no where. We absolutely loved the place. A nice swimming pool, a quite beach and a lovely big clean room with a hammock and seating area outside our room. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was superb - loads of options to choose from. A brilliant place for couples or families who would like to have some quite time away from the noise and to feel safe and secure. Staff were lovely, attentive and always on hand if needed. We were sad to leave and sad that we didn't find the hotel sooner. They had card games also which was nice in the evening first hotel we came across that had uno and exploding kittens. Loads of books you could borrow also although we had our own. We saw a beautiful family of monkeys only once and like the rest of sri lanka expect some wildlife like dragon flies, insects and some lizards.

Great location at the end of a very wild and peaceful beach.

Photos are enhancing the reality of this hotel. Rooms are simple and outdated even if the bedding is good. Meals are ok. They are very quickly out of stock of things even beers or soda water. Staff are not interacting with customers. Value for money is not that good.
