Nature Beach Huts

We stayed at Nature Beach Huts for 3 nights and we really enjoyed the place! The bungalow we had was really nicely made, all in clay, the AC working smoothly and the bed comfortable. Brenda and her family are lovely, cheerful and kind, we really enjoyed chit-chatting with her every now and then. We always had a nice and varied breakfast, and we had dinner at her place. This latter was not included in the booking but the price was fair and it was very very tasty. Brenda is a very agreeable woman, always ready to help, she provided us with a scooter (the hotel is off the city and the road, which is perfect for whom wants some peace. But you really need something to move, and she can provide either a scooter to rent or call a tuk tuk for you). Also, she can help with finding tours for you, or give nice suggestions of where to go for swimming. We really enjoyed this place merged in nature! Thank you Brenda! 😊

Beach was not brilliant A lot of litter left by locals. No hot water

It’s a quirky, alternative property , located in a very quiet area , managed by Brenda & her husband , whoa are LOVELYHOSTS , I had an excellent Sri Lanken breakfast every morning , I rented a scooter from Brenda so was fully mobile to go exploring , otherwise ask Brenda to arrange a tuk tuk if you don’t want to drive yourself . She is very accommodating , a true hostess in every sense ,it was a pleasure to have interacted with her , I stayed an extra 2 days , just chilling & soaking up the Sri Lanken vibe .

Nothing to dislike

This is an exceptional offering for the price. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Careful attention had been paid to sealing gaps in doors and windows, effectively keeping insects out—an issue I’ve encountered at other hotels. Although the location is remote, it’s easily accessible via tuk tuk, and PickMe provides a convenient ride into town. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet throughout the day, making it a relaxing place to stay. The setting is immersed in nature and feels tranquil and authentic.

Mornings can be quite noisy, with loud animals and—in my case—children playing very near the room. Earplugs helped mitigate this. The shower is unheated. While this may be welcome in hot weather, it could be less comfortable in cooler months. The water had a slightly slick or unusual texture, potentially due to being rainwater or only partially filtered. While fine for washing, it may not feel entirely clean. The laundry service was acceptable for towels and sheets, though the linens had a faint musty smell. The pillow had a strong and unpleasant odour (similar to vomit), which I was only able to resolve by purchasing a new pillowcase locally.
