Location on the beach! Clean and simple.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The balcony was most welcome. The breakfast was delicious. Guests are allowed to use the pool at Uppeveli Beach by DSK, which is a sister hotel. This was a real bonus!! The hotel even paid for the transfer! 💚
Sadly, no hot shower. The room was a little small and cramped and the TV cut out intermittently.

Location was in a narrow street but the beach was just a few yards away so we enjoyed the experience.Watched the beautiful sunrise from the room which has a small verandah.Room was small but clean.Bathroom was clean. Dinner was reasonably good. Very courteous service.
There was no lift so it's difficult for seniors like me to go up and down the stairs. We had booked a room on the 3 rd floor, having a great view, but had to settle for one on the 1st floor as we could not climb up.

It was good to be in Trincomalee itself on arrival - handy for early morning visit to fort. They very kindly provided a free driver and tuk tuk to take us up to their very fancy hotel on Uppuveli beach (which we couldn’t afford to stay in!!)
The hotel was gearing up for beginning of the season (mid -April/May. It was therefore effectively a building site and no facilities (bar etc) available other than room. Common areas very very dusty due to building work. They probably should have been closed and not accepting guests (only us!!)
