Moon Isle is such a special place, absolutely do not hesitate to stay here if you have the opportunity. We spent 3 of the most glorious, happy days of our lives here. It was such a privilege to stay in this beautiful place. The house is on the sand only meters from the sea, surrounded by coconut trees and with only the sound of the waves you are instantly transported to an entirely different rhythm of life from the rest of the world. It is so peaceful and calm and we could have stayed for ever! The house is beautiful and the rooms are gorgeous, very spacious with excellent aircon, and spotlessly clean. As a family we had two rooms, one of them had a wonderful sea view which was so lovely to wake up to in the morning. Moon Isle has an excellent restaurant with the most gorgeous setting on the sand right next to the waves. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing, so plentiful and fresh with an excellent choice of Sri Lankan options. We ate at the restaurant every evening and had the most delicious rice and curry and fresh seafood. We did not at any point wish to leave Moon Isle and go elsewhere for any reason. They have everything you need right there. We booked a sunrise dolphin watching trip through moon Isle which was amazing. We saw lots of spinner dolphins and the experience was truly memorable. You can also arrange to go on snorkelling trips to pigeon island, scuba diving, and a range of water-sports are also available. Truly one of the most beautiful aspects of Moon Isle also has to be the wonderful staff who looked after us so well, with such warmth, and kindness. We unfortunately did not get to meet Amanda, however we spoke on the phone and she is clearly a very special lady. We take from Moon Isle, full hearts, and the very best, most precious memories of our heavenly few days spent here. Thank you so much to the whole team at Moon Isle. We hope very much that one day we will be able to return. It was truly heartbreaking to leave this beautiful place.

Wow wow wow! Moon Isle Beach Bungalow is truly a slice of paradise. I stayed at Moon Isle Beach Bungalow with my mum in the sea view room and we had the most incredible stay. The room was very beautiful and clean with good air-conditioning that kept it cool for our entire stay. The view of the sea and beach from the room was amazing and the atmosphere at the hotel was perfect for a calm and relaxed vacation. Amanda was a very kind and considerate host. She sorted out trips for us whale watching and to Pigeon Island which were very good value and very well organised. Amanda also checked up on us throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed and that everything was perfect for us. Umesh was also very kind and the food at the restaurant was the best we had in Sri Lanka! The seafood was incredible and fresh and very reasonably priced and the atmosphere at the restaurant was excellent with good music, tables right next to the sea and beautiful lighting from the fairy lights. It was without a doubt the best restaurant in the area! The rest of the staff were also incredible. Everyone was very kind and would go out of their way to ensure that our stay was the best possible. The location is also excellent, Pigeon Island is a short boat trip away for snorkelling where you can see turtles, reef sharks and coral. The beach and sea are beautiful and well looked after and the atmosphere is just right for a relaxing, beachy holiday. Overall I would recommend Moon Isle Beach Bungalow to everyone!! The atmosphere, staff and location really make this place perfect and it really is a slice of paradise.

Nothing - it was perfect!

The location is fantastic, and its a beautiful small resort direct om the lovely Nilaveli beach. We had a great trip to Peagon Island, easy organized at the hotel.

We felt that the restaurant could have been a fantastic quiet place, only with the soft brezze from ocean, instead you feel you Are sitting in a nightclub, with loud music from the hotel and the neighbour hotel. An upgrade here and there could be good as Well, and the service in the restaurant was rather slow. We also missed the smile from the staff, all over Sri Lanka We have been meet with big smiles, but not in this resort.
