Aathi Resort

We had an amazing stay at Aathi Resort. If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place, this is perfect. It’s only about a 10-minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Trincomalee and the restaurants in Uppuveli. There’s also a supermarket just around the corner where you can find everything you need. The resort is in excellent condition and everything is spotless, thanks to the wonderful caretaker. He is incredibly kind, always helpful, and truly went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions, both he and the owner’s nephew are always available. We would definitely come back again!

I had a wonderful stay at Aathi resort. The place was quiet, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, perfect for anyone who loves a calm and relaxing vacation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well kept. The management was extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay even more pleasant. Special appreciation to Mr. Nalin, staff of this resort, for his excellent service and warm hospitality.

I really liked everything here but most people might think the distance from Trincomalee town is quite high. Although the distance from the town can be considered a disadvantage, it is exactly what makes the resort peaceful, quiet, and free from noise and traffic.

Sadly we are not amazed by this “resort”. But what we can say is that the owner is friendly and the room was clean.

There were a lot of points we disliked, for starters no working Wifi. No reception for check-in / check-out. (If you are in luck the owner is there other wise you have to communicate with his non-english speaking guard). There was no food/room service available at the property even though it is located outside the city center and called a “resort”. Some smaller points would be no hot shower water, no kettle for making coffee or tea in the room. There was a TV but it had no signal. When we informed about laundry it would take 2 days therefore being past our checkout date and there was no refill station for drinking water. All together we were just a little bit disappointed. But then checkout did not go smoothly either, since there is no reception the guard would collect the money, but there was no receipt, no communication just the word “money”…
