The Log Cab-Inn

The property itself was enjoyable and most aspects met my expectations.

My stay was ruined by a single staff member named Nolan. The restaurant advertised the Super Bowl as an event. Because of this, I rushed back from a tour specifically to watch the game there. When I arrived, the TVs were set to another channel because Nolan had given a group of guests full control of them, preventing anyone else from watching the game or halftime show. When I requested that the advertised broadcast be shown, Nolan came out and falsely claimed the restaurant had been reserved for a private event and that I should have been informed at check-in. Turned out that was a lie. There was no signage, I received no notice, and the front desk later confirmed that no private reservation existed. Nolan fabricated this explanation and used it to force me out of the restaurant. During the interaction, I was subjected to racist remarks from the group he favored. Nolan did nothing to address it and instead sided with them, escalating the situation by ejecting me. That behavior is unacceptable in any hospitality setting and reflects extremely poor judgment and professionalism. To make matters worse, fruit I had purchased and left with the kitchen for my group the previous night was served to that same table without my consent. This was another example of Nolan’s disregard for guests and their property. Nolan’s dishonesty, bias, and mishandling of this situation completely undermined the experience. His conduct fell well below the standard expected of hospitality staff, and management should take this seriously. The other staff members that night were sympathetic towards my group and I and were going out of their way to still provide us service outside of the restaurant limits. Each time they’d approach us, Nolan would quickly follow and call them back from a distance.

The Property grounds were lovely, the pool area is great as is the bar and restaurant

It’s a little far out of San Ignacio (which we knew already), however as we had a car that didn’t matter

Nee mattresses absolutely needed. Wire springs coming out. Very uncomfortable for our 76 year old mother.

The rooms were cleaned beautifully each day. The pool area was excellent and the restaurant was delicious and all of the restaurant staff were so lovely. Excellent location, easy to walk or taxi into the main city whilst being removed enough to be in a quiet area.

Pool and restaurant were very nice. All the staff were friendly and attentive.

It was nice and quiet but a little far from town. Ended up renting a car and exploring the area
